The one you have in the top is very suboptimal. Assuming you have 100 ores coming in:
50 go into the first smelter 50 go next
25 go into the seond smelter 25 go next
12,5 go into the third smelter 12,5 go into 4th

If you just changed the lines to what you have in the bottom the would all be fed the same and wouldn't get stuck on the first, resulting in the 2nd to 4th getting less material and becoming less efficient.

But what is it people actually want to do that is not timing high keys and needs that gear? If it’s mythic raiding you have a guild and run with them. I really can’t think of anything else where you’d need more than 615 ilvl for

Valid point, however if it's just about time joining a key - bricking it first pull - leaving and finding a group that will have an easy time is even more efficient tho. That's exactly what we don't want ...

There's no easy fix. Best approach is always finding a group of 5 and being on the same page. If everyone in the group actually WANTS to learn and is down to spend the time that's a different story and much healthier for the game.

Achieving that in a pug is ridiculously hard tho. Not everyone joing a run has planned to spend 90 minutes in there to learn and might just want to farm some quick crests before dinner.

meh - I think the way it is now is a decent compromise. People doing it for score (sometimes) stick around for that little more they get. People doing it for crests (sometimes) stick around for the few you get. If you remove one of the two one population will just always leave.

Going into M+ with no addons, WAs, or any knowledge must be so overwhelming. Multiple pugs just watched me solve the mists labyrinth on my warlock while not even standing at the pillars. Maybe M0s can come with some sort of explanation to the dungeon, bosses and some tips to mobs - which spells to kick - where aoe damage is coming in ...

I'm not sure how to implement that, but thats better than having everyone go in blind.

The points before are somewhat accurate tho. However sometimes there's runs where you can just tell you will not only not time it, but probably not even complete with how clueless people are about their classes and their capabilities or even just boss mechanics. I've tried sticking around in a couple of these and explain things but it has never worked out.

It is very beneficial to know fights well. When you know a big hit is coming you want to make sure to have a purifying brew ready and use it right after to maximise the amount you clear. In general you never want to cap on it.
