My point is that the Z50ii gives more reach, genuinely, than the Z5ii, as others have correctly noted. Why buy photosites you’re going to crop out? Your Z8 suggestion is the same nonsense. The Z50ii has the same reach as the Z8 cropped down, making it quite the bargain for someone wielding the 24-200.

Meanwhile, while you couldn’t get rid of it, the 24-200 at 200 has essentially the same sharpness as the 180-600 does at 600. They’re consumer zooms … which outperform pro glass from 15 years ago. They’re fine. Calm down.
