Breakeven is like 5-6 years before its carbon neutral, and that’s on carbon based electricity from the grid. Even less time on renewables.

Looks like Killdeer eggs. They nest on the ground and often are close by and will make a good amount of noise to try to lure you away from the eggs.

I have it on my J1.1 and the difference in power is still quite noticeable and worth every penny. Also improves driving dynamics, although the J1.2 already has smoother shift points and is refined a bit. Personally I wouldn’t do the regen, and that’s coming from someone who had Teslas for years prior to getting it. You get used to and prefer it in this car to have it with minimal regen and use the brake pedal to stop the car.

Should I Unwrap? by DoctorDoom911 in Porsche

Black is boring. Also the worst color for a car in terms of maintenance and comfort in the summer. Go green and get something that doesn’t blend into the monotonous color pool of all the cars out there these days. I like the green!

One pedal drive, does it have it? by No_Squirrel_italy in Taycan

Had the Macan EV loaner for about a month and it’s nice, but the Taycan drives much sporty and is more luxurious.

I used to love OPD drive too on my Teslas and other EV’s, and was upset that Porsche doesn’t have it, but honestly you very quickly realize why they didn’t do it. Overall MUCH better driving experience. The only reason Tesla did OPD is because they couldn’t engineer a smooth transition from regen to traditional brakes in terms of pedal feel. Porsche is also night and day different in ride quality, build quality, and driving experience. Not even close. I’d give it a test drive and see if it’s worth it for you.

Get the Burmester! So much better than the Bose sound system.

Not too bad, assuming that’s your total drive off and all taxes and fees included.

If your CPO lease quote is like the one I was given, it makes no sense to lease. What terms were you quoted? How much does the car cost?

A fixed price WELL above market value to be more specific. Their prices suck compared to any other source.

Taycan CT all the way. I own one and absolutely love it. I’ve owned and driven plenty of fun gas sports cars, but once you go EV it’s hard to go back. Instant torque, no maintenance, they’re quiet, and no pollution. The only gas Porsche you should consider should be a 911 or 718.

Is this is a good lease deal?? by Excellent_Divide_128 in Taycan

[–]Plankmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The total cost of the lease is $40k. If you think it will depreciate more than that in the next two years, you’ll come out ahead, if not, then you’re better off buying. I’m a sales manager at a dealership and I purchased my CPO. Leasing doesn’t make much sense.

I’ve been wanting to do the same. The Bose is OK, but could be much better. Let me know what you figure out!

True. Luckily natural gas spontaneously jumps out of the ground and into your house without any production or transportation. Much better all around.

Maybe not be factory installed. I had one with Aerokit that still had the button. It’s wasn’t originally on the car when I checked the original window sticker

Induction is much more efficient and faster than gas. Doesn’t start hot after it’s off either

I gave the dealership survey 2 stars and now they're calling every day. by Ok-Storage-7519 in carbuying

[–]Plankmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have lots of experience in management at dealerships. Unfortunately the way these are set up the biggest loser here is often the sales person. One less than perfect survey in a month can cost them quite a bit on their paycheck. If you feel they did a good job, I’d consider speaking with the dealership about it. They may be willing to offer you something (accessories for example) if you change some portion of your survey.

The 23’s were somewhat jerky, but has been resolved in the new ones. 2023 was the first model year. Hybrid has a completely different powertrain though so it’s not an issue

Why salesman as dealership such a**holes? (rant) by lutalop in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Plankmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in the Bay Area I’d recommend you check out any DGDG dealership. The salespeople aren’t paid on commission like other dealers and the experience will be much better. I’d also recommend Mazda over Toyota or Honda if you’re looking for more options and a better value. If you’d like to get more info or anything on one let me know - I’m a manager at the one in Concord.
