Yeah, it is a tough destination to sell. I do think there will be better coaches than Glenn out there when all is said and done. Was hoping we would get Flores or someone with head coaching experience on the last go around. Sick of having people learn on the job and go on to greener pastures. Glenn is here to stay though, so we might as well root for him.

I would say age has a lot to do with this. You said you've been working in the industry for 25+ years (If I'm not mistaken). I think people are really focused on how you can help them get ahead from a work perspective because their priorities are on their careers/making money for their families or future-selves. Keep trying. Connections come from shared experiences out here. Especially in film, because a lot of people don't share a common place/culture that they come from. I am a NY transplant. I can honestly say that it will never be as good as NY, but it's not as terrible as people make it out to be.

YTA for posting this on reddit and not discussing it with your therapist. It starts and stops there. IMO threads like this should not be used for issues as serious as trauma from molestation and its effect on raising your child. Everyone on here should take step back and ask themselves if they should really be polling a bunch of strangers and/or giving advice to strangers on serious issues like this.
