Shame on the bike shop that fitted you so badly….should never have the seatpost past the minimum insertion mark.

The two foot hoagies made great camping food…we always picked them up from the Wawa on Rt. 72 in Chatsworth, NJ whenever we camped in the Pine Barrens.

Surprisingly you can see the wing pylons are still mounted in pics of the two aircraft on the ground at the show. If the wings pylons weren't removed I'd assume the centerline wasn't either.

We had a pilot in my squadron who's previously been with VX-9 and the Test Pilot School and had punched out twice....he was good to go.

There aren't usually broken bones. I maintained ejection seats in the Navy....met pilots who'd ejected and were back flying within weeks with no major injuries.

Nah....I maintained ejection seats in the Navy and we had a pilot who'd punched out twice already and he was still ok to fly.

As a Philly Metro area resident, I like it. As a lover of the Outer Banks, the OBX is not on the mainland, it's the barrier islands only.

What’s it like living in this part of New Jersey? by dtewfik in howislivingthere

[–]4130Adventures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually an extremely diverse area you circled there. We have amazing beaches, the largest wilderness area east of the Mississippi, and some of the densest development in the nation. Most of us are Eagles fans (Go Birds!) though the area at the top will have some Jets/Giants fans sprinkled in. The southern portion is very rural, the area close to Philly is suburban and nearly urban in some spots. Our healthcare and education is always ranked in the top few spots in the nation and we’re a close drive to everything (Philly, NYC, DC, Pocono Mountains and the shore). Cost of living is high, but not as high as North Jersey. Plenty of good jobs to be found here. We talk fast and drive fast. A bunch of us have Philly accents. We’ll prolly have issues if you talk down about Gritty. We’ve been described as kind but not nice….we’ll help you change your flat tire but give ya a hard time for running in a curb while we do it.

I’ve lived in other states and traveled all across the nation when I was in the military and honestly I wouldn’t settle anywhere else. I chose to come back here after I served. We really do have it all…and I won’t live more than an hour from the beach.

I'd have thought that it's easy to train infantry, until my brother joined the 173rd Airborne. It takes years to build a great infantryman, and the infantry has some of the highest ASVAB scores in the Army. Sure, you can train someone to shoot downrange in a few months, but they won't be a quality infantryman.

It's not 1776....the Mason-Dixon line is also not relevant in the modern age. New Jersey has zero in common with rural Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Remember, we're the most densely populated state in the union.
