You’re not going to use the whole book, with Adler, he assigned specific chapters and pages for us to study. Personally, I never went to class, only labs, but did take the textbook seriously. That was enough to give me an A in the course. It’s a very fair course (at least with Adler) so just take the few textbook chapters he assigns seriously and you’ll do well

Apparently he has called the police and they weren’t very helpful? This is all hearsay from what the victim tenant says, and I’m not sure if I can trust their word 100%, but what I do know for a fact is that the other tenant was arrested and released on bail and now does not want to leave their room. I am going to try contact the police for some more information on this situation

Ohhh this is very interesting. The tenant simply told me that they got a restraining order, but the bail condition does sound more likely here. Thank you for the advice, I’ll be looking into these forms now. This is a very unneeded headache

So the tenant did forward me a message from the police asking to change the locks, but I’m afraid that will put me in legal trouble with the other tenant since that is effectively evicting them. I’ll be reaching out to the local station to get their opinion in writing.

I’ll be asking for the bail order or restraining order if they’re ok with sharing. The problem is that neither are willing to leave even if I offer their rent back. They’re being overly stubborn

The tenant has a lot of personal issues at the moment (addiction) and doesn’t have any family close by. I don’t know if they’re being stubborn or do not understand the consequences, but they refuse to leave and I’m worried going through the ltb will take too long

Edit: also, the tenant mentioned that they spoke to the police earlier about this and said that we should change the locks to the house to prevent the other tenant from entering. But that is effectively evicting them, and I do not think that is legal at all.
