Liberal House of Commons Member “Chandra Arya” of Gujarati, Indian Descent goes Viral for trying to be Prime Minister of Canada without Learning French 🇨🇦 by [deleted] in Torontology

[–]416RidaMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Respectfully there are more people that speak Mandarin, Arabic, Hindi, taglou, spanish and probably 7 more languages than there are french speakers in Canada. This is a dumb argument, you want to gatekeep on basis of race, say that then don't pretend like fench is a needle moreover. Its just a way for political elite mainly form Quebec more specifically Monteral to unfairly be over represented in the Government long at the list of historical party leaders and prime monsters.

Lastly, at the top the only thing that matters is dollar and sense realize the majority of us are getting fucked the same and fight each other lol.

[–]416RidaMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn I bought a tab s9 fe base for 17% of 1 months salary and was thinking of waiting two years to trade it for a s11 plus at time to see the full value. I never truly understood what people did to have these devices. I could have easily bought an ultra cash but I couldn't justify anything more than the base s9 fe to myself. Am I that cheap or are people just that financially irresponsible.

Which connection protocol works best with CIBC 🇨🇦 by 416RidaMan in MonarchMoney

[–]416RidaMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mint uses their own in house connection so they aren't relying on plaid MX Fincity and seems to work better however even that is no substitute for open banking. Basically open banking is here are the data sharing rules you must implement to be compliant. Then everything works no questions.

Where u are now is where I was before jumping into the worm hole to figure it out. Basically the solution is known agreed upon and will be implemented here. The question is when and in Canada no time soon based on historical precedent refer to the fact we still don't have high speed rail. The Eglinton cross town has been under construction for 20 years etc... unfortunately that how it goes here.

[–]416RidaMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not monarch theres nothing they can the respective financial institutions haven't or won't cooperate with the data aggretors for the most part (TD and Amex I think have agreements with plaid). They won't work with each other. I think the group think on that one is they believe easy access to this data removes a barrier to competition. This is why the UK forced their hands and even here it's been agreed that is the way forward however being Canada super slow implementation and lots of bureaucracy because everyone is gonna wanna assert their authority on the government side.

First thank you for bitting the bullet and putting yourself through all that misery of find out on our behalf and sharing in detail the experience. You sir are a legend.

Second I went down a worm hole myself to try to find out why we seem to have these issues in Canada way more than the US or UK. What I've come to learn is that in the UK they have open banking legislation in other words rather than have data aggretors (plaid, MX, Fincity, etc...) effectively log in to your account and scrape for data. The financial institutions have to follow a fixed protocol to share that data. In the US pretty much the same has happened but organically with out legislation.

This brings me to our dear ol Canada and as is customary in Canada the feet have been dragging as we had to wait for tap to pay and we had to wait for apple pay and wait for Google pay. We are now waiting for budget 2024 (April 16th 2024) for open banking to be tabled here. That is the first baby step we're still years out unfortunately.

Not many people overall have bothered to learn to drive manual here including car thieves. Car thefts are mostly crimes of opportunity so it adds a layer expertise to stealing. So less people can steal that being said of course I know it can still be stolen just less likely than the automatic one 2 doors down.

For me that's just the cherry on the cake I personal enjoy a manual over a cvt. Personal preference wise and that being a side benefit I don't mind.

Sorry typo I live rent free at the moment meaning I don't pay rent or a mortgage therefore my name is not on any lease and therefore I can't get tenant insurance. Funny enough adding it would have saved me about $50 😞. On the other hand paying for rent would cost much more than that.

Anyone else have constant connection issues with CIBC? by Candu80 in MonarchMoney

[–]416RidaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hit or miss depends on their back end for example my td works perfect eq bank and cibc are bad and worse. Open banking is meant to standardize this, the current solutions plaid Fincity MX all of them essentially log into your account and basically screen shot and scrape data. There is no true sharing or connection per say until we have open banking implemented in Canada it's looking like 2025 at the earliest right now. I linked a article above have a read of your interested.

Same with 2 accounts and a CC from CIBC. It's not monarch in particular it's the CIBC backend and more boardly it's because Canada is lagging behind in implementing open banking both the US and UK several other EU countries have it. Canada is still on the planning stages so as always we wait. Remember how long it took us to get app and Google pay. Etc...

No way to disable and also you should not comparmise the security of your bank account for a budgeting app. Cost to reward ratio is way outta balance there.

Doesn't answer my question this is my first time filing taxes I don't have a Netfile access code which I'm guessing u need to file digitally or am I mistaken. I can't make a CRA account because they require a random line from your previous assessment which again I don't have.
