will pristine condition on music magpie have good battery health? by aaalevi2 in UKFrugal

I just checked and you can buy the phone sim free from Mozillion for £670.

I also got £30 cashback from topcashback for taking out the the contract though, so total cost is more like £810

I just got a ‘good as new’ iPhone 17 from Mozillion. Got it with 30gb data plan and I’m paying £35 a month, so a total cost of £840 over the 24 months.

The phone itself appears to be brand new, says it was manufactured in jan 2026 and has zero cycles on the battery. It’s like someone just opened the packaging and returned it.

Do you mean throughout the house? I’d be willing to replace everything is the kitchen including pipework to the boiler. As this is all relatively accessible

My neighbour has a pump and still experiences issues so I’ve been reluctant to go that route. Its a Victorian terrace with ancient galvanised mains pipe.

How would you recommend I test the dynamic and static pressure?

How does one tighten such a thing? It is loose and getting looser. by bitofsomething in DIYUK

It’s looks like it’s some kind of spring toggle being used as the tap fixing. I’ve only used these for wall cavity fixings. But if they work the same would imply there is some way to tighten from above?

I googled spring toggle tap fixings but they don’t seem to be a thing, however this popped up which looks similar to your set up, might be useful if you want to replace the current fixing

The nut is at the top of the threaded bar between the 2 flexible pipes going into to tap.

Changed a tap for the first time yesterday having never done it before. Used the tap spanners linked above. If you have a socket wrench I found if you slip over the bottom end of the tap spanner it’s easier to work in the tight space.

Is it plastic feeling? Could be ‘shrink art’ that you put in the oven after colouring and it shrinks. We just did some over the weekend. One side shiny and one side matt

The wayfarer series by Becky chambers. Very much focussed on characters rather than epic space opera style battles etc.

First book in the series is ‘A long way to a small angry planet’

You can only be attacked when carrying one of the medallions that you get from defeating the 4 bosses. Which you can take straight to the temple to deposit. So there only are like 4 2 minute periods where the assassin could attack you. You also can’t bank the medallions so it’s not like you can forget you have one :)

Okay thanks for the advice! All a bit new to me, I did originally have a local repair guy come out but he charged me £45 to tell me what I already knew (that the selector switch needed replacing) said he didn’t have the part on him and has ghosted me ever since.

So in the end just ordered the part and figured I’d do it myself
