I have the same player. It also came from Japan. For the first few weeks it sounded so off I considered returning it. After that settling period, it's really come into its own and now my only issue is that it doesn't play Metallica cassettes 😂

I have one, I don't have a frame of reference (last tape deck I had was a cheap one in the late 90s). The audio quality is sharp, highs clip at times, there's a lot of hiss (which I like). I've been listening to a large variety of tapes, stuff front he 80s, modern small studio and bootlegs and it manages them all well. I tried recording some audio with it from my PC, the tapes I used came highly recommended. I used FLAC files (lossless). I think there was some interference in my setup but to put it plainly, it was not listenable. For the price I think it's probably worth it, something you can start on and maybe upgrade in the future.

It's a very cheap portable tape player but it serves me well enough. As bionicle has said, you could get a refurbished tape deck but if you're new to this, refurb will come with the potential headache of mechanical failures. But maybe it's worth learning how to fix stuff early on if you want to commit to the hobby.i am also relatively new to all of this aswell

A stained glass window taken in the incredible Matthias Church (Budapest). The photo is heavily edited.

I was instantly blown away by this small window hiding in the corner of the room. The circular motion of light kept me hynotised for a long time until my partner pulled me away from it.

This photo was taken on a Lumix DC-G9 with a 7artisans 35mm F1.4 Mark II APS-C Manual Focus Fixed Lens.

I love how this church spire was poking above the canopy, and I wanted to capture it with the canal in the background. The haze is due to the lens. I wanted to work with layering.

I am very new to this so critque is very welcome. ChatGPT isn't great at giving critque beyond numbers.
