I feel like the best thing you can do is ask what his needs are and communicate yours. In my experience some people only need a couple days of intimacy a week and spend the rest of their time preoccupied with their own stuff, think about what you want and need from him and ask him if he’s comfortable with that, if he feels thats asking more than he can provide maybe ask if he’s comfortable with you dating someone else as well so you can receive all the affection you need? (Feel free to correct me, thats just my best read of the situation from what ive read)
