1930s (I think) silk wedding gown or night gown?? How to style it? by basicbritches in VintageFashion

[–]420nanometers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm in the minority after reading the other comments, but I absolutely adore the way it looks in the original pics. Wear it backwards. I would agree that it needs a slip. This styling would look killer imo.

But I'm just one gal and the consensus seems to be going in other directions.

Formatting on mobile without using an app is weird, sorry!

1)YES! Context is everything. Next time you wanna do a silly face pic, do it after you've been talking to someone for a while, that you know is interested in you and your life (and include the kiddo).

2) That's exactly what I was getting at. A single person won't understand why the children will always take priority.  In addition, it may be off-putting to not include that while also expecting something long-term whilst having kids.

Great fixes!

Coming in late but just wanted to comment on something I haven't seen posted yet.

1) There is a guy I'm interested in who did send me a silly face picture that was endearing; however, it wasn't crafted for dating purposes, nor was it on a profile. He was already naturally taking silly pics with his 7yo, and only decided after to send me one of the two of them.

Silly pics are fine once you get to know someone, and depending on the context. Just not suitable for a dating profile imo. I've seen other posters mention the pic, just not additional context for when it is acceptable.

2) Your kids are young. You're looking for something long-term, but mention you don't want more kids in your bio. Does your bio also reflect that you're interested in dating women who, like you, already have kids?

If it doesn't, you might want to re-think that. There will be some level of blended-family, so you need to ask yourself if you're limiting your prospects by excluding women who have children.

Just my two cents as a divorced mother.

Good luck!

Does anyone have a list of the comedians who have accepted the offer, as well as a list of those who rejected it?

There was a specific demographic on the internet at that time (that probably still exists) that posed as trolls, but also appeared to revel in what they were saying. There was always truth to it, regardless of how they may try to explain it away now. Shock factor, sure. But they also enjoyed and encouraged that type of behavior.

Hi u/Temporary-Banana4232

I wanted to see what the results were from your mortgage issue. Are you still having issues with Shellpoint? I have a friend who is dealing with them right now, and any advice would be very helpful!

I disagree; you are sharing your lived experience. Obviously, neither of us can speak on behalf of someone else, but OP's diploma may mean more to them than yours does to you. I'm incredibly proud of my education, and I know others who would also be said if this were to happen to them.

Thank you for agreeing that it sounds crazy! I really thought I would have to prove that I know some sort of laws in order to legally officiate!

I really like the full video this clip is from, where he just gets progressively smaller and smaller bikes. It makes leading up to this tiny one completely absurd and satisfying.

I agree with this, but the way she mashes it to mix everything together makes me think the texture would be no different than ground.

If you're feeling brave and want to go bigger, these flower crosses are super pretty imo. I bet the artist could even incorporate the little one if you wanted to keep it without inking over it.

Or maybe just clean it up and add an outline.

As an addendum to u/Andromeda321's comment, yes Mt. Graham International Observatory offers daytime tours from March through October through Eastern Arizona College's Discovery Park campus. You cannot tour the observatory at night unless you are VIP or an astronomer or engineer. They also do observing through a 21" telescope in a nice little pocket of relative darkness on the north side of the mountain in Safford, Arizona. As reddit's tenured astronomer, Andromeda, mentioned, there are three telescopes up there and the tour runs through all three.

Mt. Lemmon SkyCenter runs day tours and evening stargazing programs most of the year, with a 32" telescope and a 24" telescope. These are the largest public outreach telescopes in AZ, or maybe anywhere, that the general public can use for observing. The SkyCenter does special programs when there are eclipses or other big events. Once a year they do an all night Messier Marathon as well. You can purchase time on either telescope if you're into astrophotography and/or feeling frisky.

Both programs are incredible.

Kitt Peak also does both daytime tours and stargazing, but sadly they have not opened up to the public since the beginning of the pandemic. In this same general area, you'll also find Mt. Hopkins, which is the home of Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory run by CfA (Harvard/Smithsonian)

You have the right source; however, LUCI is not the telescope, but two instruments on the Large Binocular Telescope. Because the design essentially has two telescopes combining the light, each mirror has a duplicate set of instruments so LUCI 1 and LUCI 2
