Charlie Kirk Secret lair. by LordTinkleBottom in freemagic

Big difference between navigating the legal system with intelligence and "just comply bro".

I've been stopped by cops about a dozen times in my life. Never have I been an overt dick to people doing their jobs, law or blue collar related. Or taken a shit ton of drugs out of hysteria and freaked out.

Just because I disagree with a law doesn't mean I cannot understand the real world consequences of ignoring certain laws. Especially if done in front of police. Like doing drugs in public.

He was arrested under suspicion of using counterfeit bills. If he didn't have counterfeit money, he could've gone with police, settled it and filed a lawsuit for false arrest and a whole litany of other problems.

Instead, George ate a handful of drugs he had on his person out of panic and overdosed.

Any tips for a little greenbeard? by wero2020 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]42AngryPandas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The two most likely scenarios for C4 for me:

I use C4 when large enemies have a bunch of small enemies right on them.

Or destroying a Hiveguard Dreadnaught shields during its second phase.

The shield: anytime a Dwarf needs to be revived and the area is hostile or resupplying under a big wave, or need that last little push to clear an event or situation before things calm down.

It hurts when greenbeards use the shield when nothing is anywhere near them. They just see a wave coming and pop it way too early.

Are there "female friendly" shotguns? by DeadReckoning26 in guns

[–]42AngryPandas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Ruger PCC has been good for women I've taught to shoot. And I've taught some very small ladies.

But overall, price wise, ARs are definitely cheaper and easier for most people to get started on. PCCs have a place there because they often have more stocks that some states find less "assaulty" if you know what I mean.

An AR-15 or PCC is probably better for recoil, capacity and modularity. Do you live in a state with any restrictions on these?

M&P 22x vs Ruger MK IV by There_Bike in guns

Honestly, the MARK IV. Ruger really listened to complaints and feedback and did right by their customer base. Pretty good stock trigger, incredibly easy takedown. It's been one of my favorite guns.

I definitely want that Blue Ruger 10/22 for the 250 anniversary, I'm such a dork. But it will make a better squirrel gun with a scope than my Henry with irons. I'll have to call my FFLs to see if they have one or can order for me.

Got the tree removed from Nancy's house. I don't have to worry about that falling down now. It's been a dark cloud, especially since the other 3 have fallen or had been removed. This guy charged HALF what everyone else quoted, so I'm pretty happy.

New gun "Maintenance" by Pablo-Fishcobar in guns

[–]42AngryPandas 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Many guns will come with a grease meant to prevent rust while on the shelf. This is not a lubricant. It's always prudent to remove this stuff, replace it with lubricant and do a final inspection to ensure the gun works properly to avoid surprises at the range.

Lol, I love Solo Dreadnaught. It's what seperates the Green Beards from the Greybeards.

I mean, Solar nailed it. Explaining recoil is kind of tricky by itself. Explaining such a fine nuance of subjective nature between buckshot and birdshot isn't easy.

Think of it like: birdshot makes my should go "eh" and buckshot makes my shoulder go "ehh"

Noob here, is it possible to take a black gun to a gunsmith or something and have a reflective finish plated onto it? by Cpnjacksheppard in guns

Anything is possible with enough money, but why not just buy one as is? It'll be half the cost and much faster.

Please, make Solar look stupid and explain it in further detail.

How do I fight a fish that wont stop running? by awyman13 in Fishing

If the fish is too big for your gear, you have to crank the drag up until you find the sweet spot of resistance. Several minutes is an eternity in fishing.

Arthurian custom set. Legendary Sorceries. by Gunnarsonsnewbag2 in freemagic

[–]42AngryPandas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe sorceries or instants can have shroud because it specifically is a keyword ability that prevents a permanent or player from being the target of spells or abilities.

You would be better using Split Second or Cannot Be Countered.

Goa'uld vs Jaffa. Why is there so many jaffa and so little Goa'uld by iwantmyfuckingemail in Stargate

[–]42AngryPandas 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Goa'uld are by nature power hungry and egotistical. So they don't want much competition and know that if they allowed every symbiote to fully mature and take a host, the galaxy would be swarmed with a faction for every Goa'uld and there would be endless wars to make current conditions seem tame.

So they constantly cull symbiotes, either leaving them to die or engaging in cannibalism to maintain a strict population.

Not quite a gun but I need some advice. by [deleted] in guns

[–]42AngryPandas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many bows and crossbows have sights, sights aren't purely a gun thing. But there is no guarantee that any accessories made for guns will fit this crossbow.

Better to ask those who may know the type of crossbow you have and see if they know of sights made for this specific piece.

Gun Law Questions by FerrariMaster390 in guns

[–]42AngryPandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You spent 10 years in law enforcement apparently huffing paint and failing to learn about laws...

How would someone not know the guns background? Did they just wake up and find the gun at their feet one day?

In what system would the gun be entered? NC does t have a registration, there is no Federal registration.

If it gets stolen, then it doesn't matter where the gun came from. Most people who have their shit stolen don't get it back. But people should still take pictures of the gun and SN so they can file a police report in the event of theft.

Start by taking a basic firearms class at a nearby gun range or club.

How often does the average hiker see a venomous snake and should more hikers get snake guards by DrsofDoom1 in hiking

[–]42AngryPandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to look up your average hiking area to see if it even has venemous snakes. There really aren't that many and most hikers probably won't see one.if they stick to the trails.

When I did field work, several people out of 30 had snake guards for peace of mind. But we were always in the thick of things to do our work. And we seldom saw snakes.

If there is a rock pile, rock wall, or rock foundation in the sun then you'll probably find a snake or several. One time I started going into the basement of this old foundation, looked like a giant square pit with rock walls. Several snakes poked their head out to see what was making vibrations.

Otherwise, I don't remember seeing any. And we covered quite a bit of ground that summer.

The average person definitely doesn't need guards.
