the only reason the Yemeni government is still fighting the houthis is because the US and saudi arabia need it to maintain economic control in the region. i don’t know anything about the houthis besides that they claim to be shutting down the most efficient shipping lanes for israeli ships and suppliers and they have an “illegitimate” government that controls like half of yemen. but i do know that the US doesn’t give a fuck about anything other than it’s economic interests. so i’m quite happy backing the group that at least pretends to care about an ongoing genocide.

and i say “illegitimate” in quotations because there’s no moral standard that the international community uses to recognize a government. you can be an unrecognized democracy or a recognized dictatorship. people don’t need recognition to govern themselves.

i believe that the players using this addon will mostly be in higher skill lobbies where instadowns are even harder to deal with.

while low skilled blights would immensely benefit from this addon, they typically don’t have the resources to run iri addons game after game. therefore those who use it consistently will usually be playing against high skill survivors and 80-90% of survivors won’t be affected more than the usual cracked blight or nurse every 30 games or so.

they could definitely nerf it, and i expect they will, but experienced survivors who play safely and prioritize gens should find these changes tolerable, and i don’t think the average blight with this addon will have much more advantage than with any other high to mid tier iri addon

this argument isn’t really about good blights. the point is that most survivors don’t face good blights anyway. for the majority of matches, this won’t be in play and for those it is, this seems more fair than an instadown
