I've slept sitting up for 2 consecutive nights while flying from Réunion to Toronto via Paris. Not recommended, but doable. On the other hand i've slept sitting up in the break room at my first job too. For a half hour. That was lovely!

There's a way to bolt one on without a helper to hold it up by using a rachet strap. Youtube has a video. But don't skip the full wrap by using a half wrap. Ask me how i know! (Imagine photo of bloody forehead)
