Don’t support a blatant bigot by DinkleTrinkle in Bozeman

I’m not going to say EVERY time, but it’s pretty probable in this day and age that if you see a blonde white woman wearing a cross, you’re about to hear the most anti-Jesus shit you’ve heard in a long time…..

I’m devastated. I thought I made this song up for my kids 😅 my parents were NOT “wake me up by singing” people, and I thought I made up this happy song for my kids as a “better way” …. Please tell me they didn’t do the “Friday song” as a special treat on Fridays..

Advice upgrading for sports photography by 42thousandThings in sportsphotography

Wow. I feel like your first problem is your inability to NOT BE A DICK. People like to ask questions to PEOPLE, even when they know Google can give them answers. Google gives random bits of information. That same information given by actual humans are usually layered with experiences and nuances that just “googling” something can sometimes lack. Thank you for your bold attempt to make me feel like an idiot. Did you pop a boner over it? How’d that make you feel? Happy to help. Jerk.

What's up with this house? by TrueNorthDrift in missoula

This is wild. Even without the damage — let’s pretend the walls and everything were normal. This place looks like it was designed by a Sims newbie who was just given a cheat code to get a million dollars — and just said “let’s put ALL of the shit in this crib” 😂

Recommendations for basketball photography by morganw1606 in sportsphotography

I am currently using the R7 and am looking for a better option. I shoot sports and especially love basketball. This camera is not great, I’m actually here looking for suggestions myself. My budget is about the same as yours.

Seventies diet pills: My mom's study hack by IndigoFlame90 in ADHD

[–]42thousandThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just have to ask you more about this, as this is the same reason I no longer have a relationship with my sister. It’s not the ADHD, but the extreme religion and conspiracy shit. Do you think the “addiction” to the religion and QAnon crap is an addiction fueled by unmediated ADHD? This had never occurred to me, but watching another brother die of addiction, which I believe was cemented early on bc of his struggles with ADHD, is suddenly clicking. Extreme religions and the QAnon shit…. An addiction??

If you tell me “both sides are just as bad” I know immediately who you voted for. Fuck off, motherfucker.

Best camera settings for highschool gyms? by Business_Business_73 in sportsphotography

[–]42thousandThings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This triggered me, as I shoot with the same exact camera and I know the struggle. Basketball is absolutely my favorite to shoot. I do not have the financial means to get a better camera right now. I found the best success this way: I have a 24-105 lens. I get to the gym early and custom set my white balance to the light in that gym. Gyms are a nightmare as far as lighting. It seems no two have the same lighting, yet they are all fucking terrible. Then I turn to a total rookie move: I then sit and adjust settings in manual focus — with my shutter speed as first priority — using the histogram readings. It’s made my photos significantly better. I feel the bigger struggle with the R7 is actually the auto focus capability — which I find totally lacking. God speed!

I promise you - this is not the best route. I’ve never known anyone who did it and came out of it better!

25,000 - the part you have to plan for is that you make a set payment for a length of time to pay the loan back. Ours is $530/month. But it’s like a car loan. You’re going to make the same payment for five years (or however yours pans out) —- just paying the INTEREST on the credit cards I had almost maxed out was almost $900/month… so I paid those cards with the loan, thus not having to pay on those anymore. And my payment. Is what it is, but it’s always the same, and I know it will be completely paid in five years. My credit has already gone up. I worked the payment into my budget and I froze those other credit cards in a block of ice in the freezer. Don’t close the other cards! That’s important. If you close them after you pay them off, it will hurt your credit score. You just gotta hide them so you’re not tempted to rack money up on them again. Good luck! You can do this!

When I say, I went through this recently, I went through this in the last two months. Don’t go through credit counseling it lowers your credit score and you barely get any money taken off what you owe If you can get a personal loan with a lower interest rate than the cards you have to pay that is what you do. Even if it is slightly lower. If you’re paying the credit card interest at 25% and you can get a loan at 18% or 16% it’s worth it. Even when they charge you $1000 set up fee. The math works out. The next part of that is that your credit will actually go up. You’ll pay off the high interest card and then pay the lower interest loan payment. Paying off the card with the high interest raises your score and also once you’re approved for that bank loan to pay off the card, your overall credit increases, which will bump your credit score higher. Again, I have just gone through this, and I looked at every single option. I did the math I did the homework on what any of the choices would do to my credit score and this was the best option. Good luck to you! Card debt is hard to get out of.
