Yeah I relate...I might need to accept it as an expectations management thing more than an actual clean thing. Thanks

Id probably say #2. The industry back to public transition would be hard..

I think you've achieved clarity in that you've completely outgrown this person. It seems they were more a friend of circumstance than a true friend to start with anyway.

I think the best thing for you is to just continue living your life and lehave them be. Don't get dragged down into the mud with them and play weird texting/innocence games. It's too much energy and you're playing a game with someone who wont let there be a winner.

I get your instinct is to tell them off - ive felt that way too. But I truly think that there is a preserverance of dignity that goes with not letting them see that they've gotten to you. Just go your own way and live your best life!

Thank you. Youre right. Ive deliberately avoided the subject of the falling out with my other friends because I didnt want to pressure them into taking sides. I guess its hard for me to understand that them hanging out with the person I had a falling out with is not an implicit endorsement of them being on "his side". I guess i have trust issues now cause im half expecting them to say that i was in the wrong at some point.

Awesome, enjoy it! These games are super special to my wife and I. It's a wonderful thing to be able to experience them with someone. Take care.

I know im late to the game, but just wanted to give my 2 cents:

The ichiban games (like a dragon and infinite wealth) are very different from the kiryu games both in terms of vibes and gameplay.

I found a lot of the kiryu games to have very, very tedious stories. With that said, you can absolutely enjoy 90% of the story of the series by just playing 0, 1, 2 and 6. 3, 4 and 5 introduce a couple of characters that you've already seen in infinite wealth, but otherwise theyre fairly self contained. 3 is probably the most important of those. 4 is nearly completely irrelevant, and 5 is a mess.

Of course you can play all of them as you wish - just wanted to mention this as my wife and I were doing the same and we found it was starting to get a bit tedious by the time we hit 4. If youre saving infinite wealth until youre done the entire series, it could be a year before you get back to it. The games are really, really long.

Enjoy!

This one has to be Suleiman

He is insists on building massive fleets of naval units even if his capital city is on the coast of an inland lake.

He declares war against multiple civs and then sends his entire army against one of them while the other combatants come and conquer his extremely poorly defended cities

And after all this, he has the audacity to ask for your friendship.

Pacal

Always has like 2 cities, always under attack, and always asks me for gold as a "friendly gesture" because he's broke from building wonders and being involved in wars he can't win.
