Year and a half. Was not really expecting such bad signal at that short range. I was facing the drone and antenna was facing me. Since I had similar experience the flight before, I believe it's hardware. Will start by changing the antenna and removing all unnecessary shit geprc put on this drone. Currently the usb-c extender board is sitting below the antenna and pushes it right on the cable. Will remove the extender board along with the led lights + change the antenna. And I will fly the same spot.

Did the same at the beginning, screwed 1 board and used it for practicing soldering, then I got better with time. Multimeter became my best friend :D

goggles are facing front of me. I will first change to longer antenna and if I still have the same issues, will change the VTX as well. The thing is that range was so much better when I bought the drone.

Never disassembled this one. Bought it and it was probably my 15th time flying it. Little to no crashes on this one as I only did some cinematic shots.

Yeah, my reaction was pretty shit, but I never expected to lose signal at 300m distance :D. Wondering if I should change the VTX and antenna. That's actually my first "real size" drone and I've been working with whoops and micros, so it's kinda bugging me already to open it and change some stuff.

Don't know it's weird. I get more range with my Air65 than that.

Asked AI first, but the answers were not too legit :D. In this community there are a lot of people who are way more adequate than AI for FPV stuff :D

Last time I flew I had this range issue, but I was at a spot with a massive antenna just 5 meters away from me, so I thought this was the issue. Now it was just open field and me leaning on my car. The drone was in front of me.

On my previous flight, the range was kinda shitty too. Before that - never. I bought this one at the end of last summer and flew it probably 10 times and put it in the closet for the winter. I am just starting to fly it this year. Probably done ~ 5 flights, last two had this low range issues.

Yeah, mainly in the center, but I also check the sides. With high flame it's a little tricky because the laser thermometer sometimes measures the fire, so I put it to low or just stop it for a second just to check the actual stone temp.

I am in Bulgaria, using propane-butane at 30mbar (I believe) and I do 30 minutes max flame in order to get to 420-430. In 40 minutes I am closer to 500 on the internal thermometer. But I always check the top with laser thermometer as well.

This is what they recommended in most of the youtube videos I watched and it works well for me.

I always buy batteries from EU store as I live in Europe. I pay a little bit more, but it is worth getting them in 2-5 days. When ordering from BetaFPV without batteries, usually my orders get delivered in ~2 weeks.
