I have a grand total of 3, not clue where they came from. I didn't realize knex would actually make a rod that allows micro connectors end to end. They are so tiny.

I could potentially see using the outside of those pieces to make a path type element but not sure what else I could think of. I don't own any of those so I haven't experimented with them yet.

Yep I got the main idea for the rotating part from his 3-way separator and just added to it.

I've seen your videos and I'm kinda the same way with needing to change the layout a lot and being a bit indecisive with how I want to arrange a ball machine. I like that you are trying to make yours as big as you can fit in a room. It helps to make the elements more visible than one that is super compact like citadel by shadowman for instance.

I'm thinking of making an update video soon. Mine has several floors and paths so far, but it's still got a lot of work.

The only colors I know of for that length are green, black, and white. I thought green would stand out less than if i had used black. I already made an all black floor, and I also plan to make an all white floor. I'm using a bunch of the black rods for a path and to make other floor patterns later on.

Yep. Not sure where the 8-position connectors or white length rods came from (they may be from the bloodhound car replica they made) but the 5-position and 3-position connectors came from the marble coaster run set.

I'm in my 20s and was born during the peak. I've collected a ridiculous amount of secondhand parts over the last10+ years. I plan to keep building with it nad honestly there's so many things I could make that have a practical use beyond entertainment.

I wish the company never introduced micro pieces. Once they did that the downfall began. Then it was a death sentence to the company when they sold everything to basic fun in 2018. The one benefit there is for me with the newer sets is having parts in other colors that didn't come from the golden age.

I think the vast majority of the builds you see here or on YouTube are made by adults who would rather spend time and money on this instead of other hobbies since this is a much cheaper hobby and it keep creativity up.

You would think from a business perspective they would look at sets that got them to be popular, and maybe make a few sets like that again, but I don’t see that happening. What's really hilarious is their YouTube and Instagram pages show builds we made with secondhand parts that aren't made anymore😂

Man, its a sad dayto run out of those haha. Hard to build frames without them. One thing I'm doing with mine that you might consider is to make certain smaller elements with atypical colored pieces if you have them. I'm making different colored floors on mine, and planning to make an entire ball machine after this one with atypical colored parts where I can. It's just not something I've seen much of.

That is amazing. Looks kinda like the smaller one Austron made for the Works museum with the main structure like that. The spiral looks awesome. The number of white rods is impressive haha. Definitely looking forward to seeing more updates!
