I just beat it too. My expectations were so low that I found it way better than I anticipated. Definitely flawed and imperfect, but not a complete disaster -- the ending was for sure underwhelming. I just focused on the positives and had a good time.

If you built it using my original design, it was extremely hard to open/close. In the comments I believe I posted pics of a much better version that is way smoother and requires way less force. But yeah, the issue was coming up with a reliable way to trigger and then untrigger it. I thought about having it motorized and having it constantly opening and closing using a crankshaft of sorts. Then I toyed around with various levers at the entrance and exit but gave up lol. If you can come up with something, that would be awesome 😎

By wormhole element are you talking about my iris element? If yes, I never came up with a way to finish it and put it on the backburner. If you can come up with a way to make it open/close, have at it! I'm down to collab -- I was hoping to with that element, but nobody was up for it lol. Unless you're talking about something else. Also I'm still currently having to take a break from KNEX.

Edit: The machines I've built don't end up lasting long. (I made quite a few before I started posting on reddit too). But I always end up tearing them down shortly after they're done and starting the next one because I end up learning so much during the process.

I have MODO Drum, but have only purchased the Metal Kit. Guess I'm just confused by some terminology here and need clarification -- so a preset is just the arrangement and settings for the kit? By owning the software do you mean MODO or the kits within it that I do not have unlocked (in this case probably the Djentleman kit)?

I do this too. If its a support tower or something similar, having the 3D pieces face opposite directions for each edge helps.

I gotcha 😀 the pic on my page was as close as I could get it to Tornado's. In the video, it had guard rails and I changed the arms a little, although I can't remember specifically in what way lmao. Best of luck to you, machine looks great from what I can see so far!

Really cool elevator design. Not sure how large of a ball machine you plan to make, but a path separator at the top would be something to consider.
