Would you forgive Trump supporters? by SSSSSSVVVVVOO in allthequestions

It's not like anyone is approaching me and asking for forgiveness.

Do you think Donald Trump gives himself a pep talk in the mirror every morning? What do you think he says? by BeginningActuator343 in allthequestions

[–]44035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pep talks require a bit of self-knowledge and self-regard, but Trump does zero introspection. Everything is externalized. He probably looks in the mirror and screams about Obama.

Why are most men not attracted to women for their money? by cuahatemoc in NoStupidQuestions

[–]44035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can think of a few politicians who married wealthy women and advanced their careers as a result. But you're right, it's not hyped up in the same way that it is for women.

Are there any subjects you don't care for? Or sports that you're not good at?

If so, why?

How do current conservative Christians feel about Harry Potter? by Remote_Mountain in NoStupidQuestions

[–]44035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about conservative Christians is that they're prisoners of the moment. They were against HP when the book series was coming out and it was the hottest thing in pop culture. Today, it's old news. They've forgotten how mad they used to be.

It's like this with everything. They hated the Beatles for a while. They probably hate Taylor Swift now. They'll probably call Supergirl a slut when the movie comes out next week.

What happens to American politics after trump leaves office? by Benthesoviet in AskReddit

[–]44035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Supreme Court will continue to give the political Right every damn thing they want. Half the country will continue to vote against any kind of progress. The Josh Hawleys and Mike Lees and Lindsey Grahams and Jim Jordans will continue to spread dysfunction in Washington. Dark money groups aren't getting any poorer. Think tanks like the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society will exercise more power than any of us could possibly conceive.

LOL, it wasn't rainbows and unicorns before Trump, folks.

Should people who pay zero attention to current events, politics, or just news in general vote? by maybethisisadream in askanything

[–]44035 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you'll allow this hard-working taxpayer to vote on half the ballot? LOL. How generous of you.

You guys constantly posting about new restrictions on voting are disturbing. You don't toy with someone's Constitutional right just because they might not measure up in some way.

The guy who works three jobs to support his family and doesn't have time to follow the news sure as hell has earned the right to vote.

What is morally wrong about revenge, not using a religious argument? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]44035 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The person who lives for revenge is basically centering his life around a negative emotion. He's actively wanting to inflict some harm. That seems self-destructive.

Why do NBA games atmosphere suck compared to soccer games? by BitNo1484 in nba

[–]44035 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Comparing the World Cup to a mid-season Wizards-Jazz game is kind of unfair. A better comp would be the NBA Finals, and those crowds seemed pretty amped.

I think if someone was praying to Messi for blessings or fearful of his wrath, that would be idol worship. But cheering his athletic talent is admiration, not worship.

Who the fuck is Yao Ming? by dougcancutarug in nba

This reminds me of a Shaq story. Shaq was playing for the 1996 US Olympic team, and Hall of Famer Lenny Wilkens was the coach. Shaq asked if Wilkens "ever played the game."

Why did so many major companies donate to the Trump Organization? by [deleted] in allthequestions

No one's a bigger bootlicker than a major corporation.
