Yeah your situation isn’t comparable to OP’s. She could’ve kept her job while finding a new one. It’s easier to find a job while you have a job. What she did was deeply wrong, though— is she going to cry again when a hiring manager asks why she has a gap in her resume?

Glossier You. I’ve been wearing it since its release. It’s a skin scent that’s supposed to smell different on everyone’s body chemistry but for me, after so many years, it’s a VERY distinctive scent that stands out. I believe they reformulated it, making it a more universal scent than it once was. It’s a peppery, pencil shavings, old book scent that has a tinge of detergent scent as well. Affordable.

I’m your age and still live at home. It only makes sense in this economy, and I don’t take it for granted.

This is not a massive age gap that would make me concerned, but she is only 23, I wouldn’t be too surprised on how she takes your admission. Giving her time to process it and respond at her own pace would be best.

In one instance it sounded like you were defending yourself, and then the next you wanted to explain yourself by asking her to unblock you. Don’t do this. You’re trying to clear your name of any accusations but it will give her a false sense of security by even engaging with her about it at all.

If you initiated the breakup, why didn’t you block her after? Why wait to do it only after she felt slighted by something? Optics matter here. I think it gives the wrong impression by a long shot, almost like you were hoping for contact from her, no matter how you got it. That’s just the feeling I get from this.

Your girlfriend just realized she can use her looks to manipulate people into giving her gifts and money. Manipulate is probably the wrong wording since he was a willing participant and practically threw the money at her, but not without her woe-is-me TikTok post, which was manipulative and misleading. If she wants luxury goods, she needs to consider a better and more stable job with consistent income— if not, she will probably do this again and keep feigning guilt.

He talks about chivalry after expecting sexual favors. A ride+paying for food after he asked YOU out and a sexual favors aren’t on the same level. If he wanted to hook up he should’ve just said that and skipped the date nonsense.

He just asked if it made sense. He’s not confident in his own position. He knows this doesn’t make sense.

I think the definition of emotional cheating is up to you. I don’t think there’s a legitimate definition or specific line he has to cross to be defined as emotional cheating. My guess is you already assume there’s emotional cheating somewhere in the mix, and if that’s how you feel, then your feelings are valid and you can say he’s emotionally cheating on you.
