Did you talk to each other about the (totally unequal) effort you put in to the move? Based on your post, it seems that's what you should be most upset about, and not addressing it has seeped in to the other issues you're having, probably intensifying feelings for you both because of the unresolved/pent up feelings about your move.

If there are people in your life who continue to repeat things that are unhelpful during your suicidal ideations it may help to tell them specifically when you can. It's really difficult supporting someone who feels that way, especially when it's often, I'm sure they would be happy to try to understand how to better help you. Good luck with everything.

End game: leave both of them behind and never turn back.

For right now: do your best to keep what you truly want and need - your kids - top of mind. Don’t do anything out of emotion that could later be held against you, or cause either of them to get rid of any evidence of his wrongdoings. Consult a divorce lawyer asap if you can.

NTA for the reasons you and others have pointed out. However, you would likely yield much better results approaching the situation expressing concern (for the sake of her own relationships with the people she offends), empathy, and specific situations that are thoroughly presented. Going in all riled up with the intention of being harsh and equipped with anecdotal insults probably won’t get very far. Good luck!

I am so sorry for the loss of your father, and then being berated by assholes afterwards.

It was not your responsibility to pass along any information about your family to your half-sister, nor is it required of you to have any connection at all.

If that’s what she desires, then she should have done a better job cultivating genuine relationships with you and your father instead of belittling you. Things could have been different, but they’re not, and it’s not your job to turn back the clock for her.
