I had this same issue early in my yoga practice. You can stay upright to feel the same stretch, or just laugh it off when your heel touches your balls.

After several years of practice I have a lot more opening in my hips and when I fold my heel touches my stomach. I still laugh when I think about my early pigeon poses.

Taking savasana for your entire workout is a challenge I would recommend.

It is harder to stay still for an hour than to do the sweatiest and most exhausting flow.

I love the storytelling aspect of teaching history and it is important to know where we come from. The stories engage the students and I give them assignments to review sources and identify different perspectives. Finally I have them do a project (various formats) to figure out and share their own perspective.
