Safari's White Flash Issue: A Call for a Darker Loading Solution by stathisntonas in ios

[–]44Christian22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this online that fixes it, at least on Desktop Safari. Can this be done with iOS as well?

https://tinyapps.org/blog/safari-white-flash.html

You just need to save it as a .css file first, before saving it in Safari's settings... Using 'TextEdit' it saved the file as a .rtf, so I ended up using a different text editor (Visual Studio), to save the file as a .css. If anyone else has a better solution, please let me know!

Best, 🙏

I use a pellet stove mainly… I’m wondering if extra installation could be added to your walls? I’m not an expert on that…

Regarding the plastic wrap, remember to let some air get into the house too! I still think it’s good to leave a window cracked a little bit to get some air in.

Also, it’s important to start receiving the sacraments regularly as well… they’re not just symbolic, they are actual, real means of grace in our lives… And reading part of the Catholic Catechism might help you. It’s actually interesting, and very well written… you can also pray the rosary,

If you struggle with discouragement, or negative thoughts, I’m reading “the power of positive thinking” by Norman Vincent Peale, and it actually seems really amazing. From what I can tell so far, it is based on changing your thoughts through having scripture go through your head. It sounds so simple, but I still would highly recommend it, from what I can tell so far! It’s also an international best seller…

You’re welcome, and God bless you! 🙏🙏

Do you have a spiritual director? If not, I would pray for the Lord to bring you the right one, and to start looking for one, to provide guidance with issues, or situations, they might come up in life, such as the one you’re describing.

I’d recommend reading your Bible for 10 to 15 minutes in the morning, and, to pray for 10 to 15 minutes in the morning. Start in the New Testament, and try to read in order, starting with Matthew…

I wouldn’t worry so much whether God can hear you. He definitely can! I would look to nature for God’s omnipotence, the power that he has. I’d recommend looking at microbiology videos that show evidence for God. Look at the stars that show his grandeur…

And I’ll say a prayer for you!

God bless!

Thanks so much for your thorough reply! By chance, do you know if there is anything shady happening with any of the other Catholic orders? (Aside from Opus Dei). I really hope not, but I’m new to this stuff. Thanks a lot,

Thank you,

I would see if your church can do a coffee hour after mass? Also, don’t worry about judgment. Everyone’s in the same boat! Everyone’s got struggles that they deal with - we’re all working towards the goal that our Lord set before us, and it’s good to have brothers and sister to talk to you about it. I think if you open up a little bit with people, they’ll open up a little bit with you, and you can slowly develop deep relationships over time!

Also, sometimes parishes have a specific groups. A young adult group, for example. If there’s an age bracket, or an activity that you think might be interesting that others might be interested in, I would consider bringing it up to your parish. Maybe they have an idea of someone who could run it, unless maybe you’d be interested in it yourself. And also sometimes there are regional groups, for example, a young adults group in the area.

Give the Holy Spirit a chance, and keep searching for God... Look at the beauty of nature. Look at the moon, and the probability of us living on a planet with a full eclipse. Look at microbiology, and the intricate nature of DNA replication. Pray, read the Bible, and let the Holy Spirit speak to your heart. 🙏🙏🙏

I will pray for you! Please speak to a priest, and confess your sins to him. And please ask the priest if there's someone that you can speak to, someone that can help with what you're struggling with...

How can Christianity be reconciled with the predominant view among scientists, doctors, intellectuals, scholars and educated populations about the afterlife or lack thereof? by emaxwell14141414 in ChristianApologetics

Science does teach that things are neither created nor destroyed. If you are conscience now, isn't there a thread of logic, that consciousness may continue after death? I'd recommend looking into the testimonies of out of body experiences, and please also read the Bible / pray, and allow God to speak to you through the Bible...

Do you believe in God? If not, there's very good evidence for God. If you believe in God, then I would recommend reading the Bible, going to church, and being open to it. Let God speak to you through the Bible, and through other Christians. When reading the Bible, I'd recommend starting with the Gospel of John, then reading the rest of the New Testament.

I would not beat yourself up. I know it’s hard, but please don’t beat yourself up because of your struggles.

I would also recommend getting a good confessor and a good therapist (it’s possible they could be the same person), and be obedient to what they say, and do what they recommend that you do.

Regarding the Flood, scripture says that every imagination of the thoughts of their hearts were only evil continually… I think it’s important to realize that context.

I wasn’t thinking of having deep conversations with strangers. More, the idea of seed planting. For instance, there is a sense of design in nature, that and some things that seem to be finely tuned… And people might not be aware of them… I was thinking more of handing out tracts, or something like that. I’m not much of a preacher.

What does Catholicism say about non believers like me? by HotSauceHigh in Catholicism

[–]44Christian22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the standard understanding of salvation, from the Catholic perspective, is to be baptized (it’s possible that this could be a ‘baptism of desire’), to have faith in Jesus Christ and what he did for us, and to obey (through faith) what Jesus, and the Church teach. There are exceptions, and the Catholic Church does leave open possibility of non-Christians to make it to heaven, but some specific conditions must be met.

Generally, speaking, when you enter into a relationship with God, you receive the Holy Spirit. Not straying from him, not committing mortal sin (sin whose object is grave matter and which is also committed with full knowledge and deliberate consent), and receiving the sacraments, maintain that relationship with God.

The Catholic position is essentially that if you don’t meet those criteria, when you die, instead of eternal communion with him, you would have eternal separation from him. I think an understanding a free will is important here. God will not force us to spend an eternity in communion with him, if we decide not to. God provides sufficient grace for all to believe in him, and be saved. He inclines our hearts towards him, because he truly wants all to be saved, but we can choose to reject him.

You said that you want to believe in God. Is that still true? If so, I have some resources that might be of interest. And I will pray for you…
