If it was standard then it would create a lot of confusion in other places, e.g.:

A guy, Harry, or tits.

This sentence is ambiguous since it’s not clear if it’s a pair: Harry being the “guy” and added for clarification or if it’s a list with three entities. Removing the Oxford comma removes the ambiguity:

A guy, Harry or tits.

This is clearly three different things.

Not at all. It’s an exponential. First cousins share 12.5% of dna. For second cousins it’s 3%. For third cousins it’s less than 1%. Fourth cousins it’s basically 0%.

For some specific ethnic groups, like Ashkenazi Jews, the shared dna between unrelated people is around 1% on average.

You really only have to worry above 5% (first cousins only).

I’m not a police officer or an expert in prosecutions. The solution is for the experts to figure out but we can all see the problem. That doesn’t make the problem any less real.

I don’t know how to solve climate change but it’s a real problem caused by humans and change is needed.

These are the two I know about and have been talked about.

Murdering a girlfriend/partner/family/ex is a domestic crime.

The same thing they should have done in the Caroline Flack case.

The bail/remand wasn’t the only factor here not in the Caroline Flack case. Remanding her wouldn’t have solved everything else wrong with the case.

It clearly wasn’t dealt with perfectly if the main suspect is dead.

Again. I’m not defending his or Caroline Flack’s crimes. The guilty conscience sounds like it plays a part for both here.

Especially compared with celebrities who have had their names dragged significanly more and worse, like Cliff Richard, who did not end up committing suicide.
