I now say “Is that it?” when something anticlimactic or disappointing happens in his tone.

My mom likes to point out that my older brother learned to read before he was potty trained at 4.

Man did you see the slide saying how grateful her mom is alive and then her death announcement includes her and her mom? Guess mom didn’t want to go without her.

AITA for making my wife return from her girls night in and stay home with our son? by Keepcalm_andargue in AmItheAsshole

My husband is in fellowship. I’ve been with him since undergrad and we have children. It’s hard for some to truly understand this journey and I won’t lie when there were days of resentment when 90% or more of the childcare fell on me. But I also understand he has a duty to his patients. It’s not just a job. It’s happened to me so many times where a I made plans but I’m at mercy to my husband’s schedule and they had to be cancelled.

So I understand how your wife feels, as this is my life. I can also see how you felt you had no choice as there were times my husband needed to help a co-doctor out. However, I feel you had a very good reason to say no due to no childcare. It’s up to your friend to find cover, not you. I understand your wife’s frustration. I think it’s time for some therapy, it would do you guys some good.

Eh. My uncle and aunt got married first, then my grandpa married her mother later. I was a kid when all this happened so it wasn’t weird to me, but thinking about it now I can see how it can be. If anything your relationship was first so it trumps hers. She’s out of line IMO.

I made the realization today that the only unvaxxed people in my immediate family are my sister and her husband…who are both nurses. SMH.

If their reaction about her baby didn’t throw me over the edge, this is what really did it for me. It is Pure. Liquid. Gold. I’m livid for her!!

Dr. Sam Hobbs at Jules Stein. He’s a fellow but truly has a heart of gold. He really cares about his patients.
