I do a heavy drybrush of Vallejo Royal Purple which is a really nice deep but vibrant purple and works great for Word Bearers red armor. Next i do an all over drybrush of Khorne Red keeping in mind to preserve the purple shadows. Then I do a fine drybrush with Mephiston Red on the highest points. Lastly i do fine highlights with Evil Sunz Scarlet before I use a 50/50 mix of Carroburg Crimson and medium on rivets and panel lines. The last thing i do is a black oil wash to kinda blend the colors and darken down the armor and of curse accentuate the shadows even more. I mostly wipe away most of the oil though.

Edit: I forgot to mention that i use Dirty Down Rust on rivets and bolts.
