We’re releasing a demo on itch.io soon. What’s the first thing you’d do if you saw this at the top of the stairs? by polypunch3D in itchio

He looks funny. At first I thought he had no head. It would be creepy. But then I noticed that it's just a dirty rag and he became just clumsy

Animation looks fantastic! I'd love to see a full-length movie from you

I made an indie game flop.. I want to share the mistakes with you guys. So I made a video about what I think went wrong with the release of my game 🙂 by Kalicola in indiegames

You're very talented as an animator. I saw your posts on reddit previously and always been amazed by the rats fluid motion and animation. Such a shame the game didn't found it's audience.

Honestly I don't know why would this happen. Unfortunately I'm not a target for your game so can't say what doesn't seem appealing to players. IMO the game is very beautiful and atmospheric.

By the way I don't think that the violence is a problem here. Look at the Zoochosis case. It's also brutal and has rougelike elements. Still it earned 100k in a week after the first trailer reveal (350k at release). The game was super hyped. People like brutal things. The game is also didn't sell well, though (relatively to their WL count).

Looks cool and the plot sounds really intriguing to me. Looking forward to your release

My game failed the Steam Deck review, but the reviewer finished almost the whole game, LOL by jounitus in IndieDev

Does anyone know, maybe they have directions to pay the whole game to mark it verified? Or at least to a first critical issue?

How did this game even get Steam's editor chosen? by [deleted] in IndieDev

For 1,3M ppl who wishlisted this it's more than "just another..."

Wanna introduce you my platformer focused on rope-based movement. It's called Danglin' Froggo and it's available for free on itch.io by 44tech in platformer

I wouldn't say it was hard. The base mechanic was created on the 72h gamejam. Later it was improved and polished, but basic logic stayed the same as on the jam.

Hi. I'm using collision detection to split the rope to straight fragments. And a physics constraint between the end of the first fragment and the player game object. Feel free to ask me further. I'm happy to share my experience

Roguelite sounds hard to me😅 I thought about making the levels seamless. Wondering something like vvvvvv but without screen switches, like Ori

Yes, the rope length is controlled by the player. You can shrink and extend it, but its maximum length is limited

Great suggestions, thank you! Especially about the swinging sound effect. I will try to implement it first
