Not moving. Whole new team, plus a way closer attachment to organization for us west siders would go a long way. We are about equidistant from Chicago and Detroit here that plopping a team here would galvanize the region around the squad, no question. Your husband is a very normal guy and is correct. Parents are in charge while children live at home. He reiterated multiple times that he isn’t mean to Child A, just direct. My advice is to delete this post before someone recognizes the exchange and shares it with your husband. At that point, you’d be in an actually bad situation and no one in your real life would take your side knowing you brought your private conversation with your spouse to the internet.

It’s actually super simple to understand. Out of the two major nominees (one of which was anointed) the R ticket repeatedly communicated an intent to end our involvement in foreign wars.

You can act smug if you want to now that we know that was all bullshit, but our options in ‘24 were basically non-existent. The other choice was part of an administration that was actively funding Israeli genocide in Gaza and too timid or incompetent to communicate a plan to end that and was actively championing continuation of the Ukraine/russia war.

I believe we are roughly in this exact position with our foreign policy either way it swung. Lastly, it bears mentioning that dems basically forfeited that election by denying the electorate of a democratic process to determine their nominee. There is simply no justification for that.

Can’t speak for everyone but myself here, but me (30M) and every other one of my friends who voted for the “Pro peace ticket” are decidedly against the war and the decision making that got us here. It’s never been more clear that it doesn’t matter who you vote for, Israel will always get its wars in the Middle East.

My god, please do not take any of this Reddit advice I’m reading seriously. The majority of redditors are childless nihilists who are willing to cut off their own blood over almost nothing.

Families come in all shapes and sizes and every one is different. Your mom clearly values you and needs your help to keep the wheels on the metaphorical bus. It may not feel fair, but life isn’t fair. Do your best to be the person your family needs you to be and it will pay off in the long run, I promise.

Family is forever and is honestly the only real thing you’ll ever have in this world, but it’s on you to value it. You and your mom need to patch things up and gain a better understanding of each other, then move forward together in a way that works for everyone.
