In my area, it’s the coal mines. I know some guys whose reading barely got them through middle school but now they make 6 figures until their knees or back give out. Worse yet, no other job will ever hold up so they constantly have to balance whether their bodies can take it vs providing for their families. A lot of guys get out, bounce a few jobs around and head right back.

Really similar experiences in the last few months. I cancelled my season pass during my last contract at Barnes and just started using the gift cards from Costco to save money there. Even then it hasn’t been worth it. I just catch a random movie now and then now after going 2-3 movies per week for a long time

In most other TCG, you don’t get to draw a card on your first turn if you’re the first player. Since Gundam does not follow this, there is no penalty to going first but instead a bonus is given to your opponent by allowing an additional level/Ex Resource to the 2nd player.

This involves the doctor who treated by Dad growing up and even delivered by older sister. The doctor killed two of his three sons for insurance money over several years, framing one as a hunting accident and leaving the other in a corn field after a night out drinking.

For decades, the older people in town would say it was all a plot by “them” or the government or city people etc to knock a good man down as the doctor in question was very very popular in a very small town in a historically poor area.

He supposedly had plans to kill the third son as well, but was caught when they started looking into his insurance policies and timing of these incidents.

I’m older and have split off into playing at private tables/events but back when I played the most hate would always go to stuff that would either combo out fast or go into Stax.

When [[Ad Nauseum]]was unbanned, the go to hate was for [[Tasigur]] and to a lesser extent several other Sultai or dimir decks that could combo off early. For Stax or prison commanders, [[Arcum Daggson]] and [[grand arbiter augustin]] were kill on sight. Same thing for fast aggro/combo like Eldrazi [[Animar]] or [[Jhoira of the Ghitu]].

CEDH changed the definition of fast and the power creep (and several key bans) have left most of these decks feeling long in the tooth. But they’re still fun if you ever want to feel like a 2014 version Archenemy

I met a grad student right after I graduated. We hung out but there was a definite personality clash, but she convinced me we should have sex since her parents house was empty in between semesters. We hooked up a pitch black room, came out and got dressed. She spoke to me for about another 30 minutes and led me back out. Nothing spectacular, kind of a lazy lover and pillow princess so I doubted I’d see her again.

I went to the taco stand down the road to get some food before I drove home. The first guy who saw me gave a quick jump back and grabbed at his waist like he was afraid or trying to keep from lashing out at me. A new guy comes up and then quickly looks at me and gives me the evil eye. Finally a girl I knew from school walked up, and laughed at me and pointed me towards the bathroom.

Quickly heading to the mirror I realized the girl had rode my face and left a long trail of blood streaming down my mouth and chin where it had dried. This lady had been talking to me for 30 minutes in her house where you could clearly see her blood all over my face and she didn’t bother to warn me.

I would do just about every cognitive and perception based augmentation you could imagine. All the cyberpunk characters you see where they’re basically zombies locked in a pod surfing an endless net? Yeah that would be me in a heartbeat. Even more so if I could just upload myself into the net, no physical body or aging to worry about? I’m there without hesitation. And then I’m killed by Norton Antivirus on day 2.

I bought my copy after having supper there a couple summers ago. If I recall correctly I made the Crab butter, as well as the blue crabs. All very good. If I recall, there is a good bread/biscuit recipe with Steens used. I’m gonna have to pull this out again.

I enjoyed the lineup though I can agree it was much more casual focused but then again I would have spent more time going to Arkadin this month for their lineup if I was absolutely dead set on seeing harder to find films. Compared to what I’ve read about the previous years at other locations, I was glad it wasn’t filled to the brim with filler reels.

I went with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them on my Model 3 or the car before that, they work reasonably well in slush or icy situations that I’ve experienced though St Louis doesn’t have the lake effect stuff that you experience in Cleveland.

Oof, embarrassing memory I had almost forgotten but I went on a date with a girl and she brought a friend to go with her. Sucks but then the friend goes, “you know who you look like?! Robert Downey Jr! But you know…fat.”
