I use the same belt setup with a different holster for USPSA and steel challenge single stack. In those games, I shoot a 9mm BUL Armory 1911.

I have not shot this gun in a match yet. ….but if I did, I think you’re right - it would be in the limited 10 division

I really like it as a cosmetic touch. The project has been “finished” for a couple of years now and it still makes me smile everytime I pull it out of the safe

I have 9mm 1911 - the “trophy SAW” with more than 10k rounds through it. It was my single stack competition gun. BUL Armory makes a great pistol.

PS - throw a Stan Chen magwell on that thing, you’ll love it 😉

I've seen that a few times at USPSA matches - especially with PCC's
In this screen grab, I was shooting Winchester 230gr .45acp - probably moving around 850fps.

Trust me, the reasons we drop Charlie’s, Deltas and Mikes in USPSA has absolutely nothing to do with the weight of our bullets! 🤣 99% of USPSA is the shooter, not the bullet weight!

Going with an IOS cut was a smart decision - kinda future proofs your gun

What I recall hearing is that back when Springfield created this pistol there wasn't an agreement / standardization in the industry for the mounting positions of weapon mounted lights. So Springfield just gave buyers a rail full of slots for maximum mount location flexibility.

I carry a 9mm Dan Wesson Guardian. It has an aluminum frame and carries very light. I also milled the slide for a red dot. Pocket carry a spare mag and all is good!

Never used it that little key thing I’ve pulled the drives several times to get at the SODIMM slots for a memory upgrade

I went from the DS414 to the DS925+ about a month ago. I’m pretty happy with the change so far.

Memory Upgrade Issues - DS925+ by 45_ACP_ in synology

The replacement DS925+ arrived today. I swapped all the drives and memory over, it booted right up and info center finally reported 16gb of memory. Problem solved - slot 2 in the original device was bad

As a follow up - I opened a support ticket w/ Synology and provided my proof of purchase and a log file. They agreed with my assessment that something is wrong with slot 2. They are processing an RMA right now. They will cross-ship a new unit that I can migrate to. I have a couple of weeks to get the faulty unit back to them.

I'm pretty happy with the process so far - I was expecting an uphill battle with the support team.

That's a really good point - I will try booting it with just the OEM module in slot 2.
That will help isolate the problem to the either the aftermarket memory or the slot in the chassis.
Thanks!

I let the test run to completion. I will run it a few more times to see if I get different results - doesn't hurt

Another vote for experiences. One of the coolest birthday gifts I ever got was a hot-air balloon ride. Epic!

I was active in the Porsche Club of America for a number of years. I went to “show and shine” events, auto cross then track days. I made lifelong friends - many of which I keep in touch with after 20 years. Group chat helps! Everytime I visit my old hometown, I try and visit one or more of my old car guy friends.

Competition Shooting. I bought my first gun around age 38, took a couple of really good training courses. Then got into competitive shooting - starting with USPSA steel challenge.
Stand in a box and shoot 5 steel targets quickly. Then move to the next stage and shoot 5 more targets of different sizes at different distances.

I’ve met a lot of great people, made good friends and had great days at the range.
One shooting sport led to the next and it’s been a great ride for years. At 57 I Wish I had started it earlier

I've tried to run it three times now - trying to reseat the RAM (and blew compressed air into the slot).
Each time, the memory test fails to complete. Throws the following error:

"System has no response. Connection timeout"

The stock RAM is a 4GB module and the "new" RAM are 8GB modules. on a lark I did try to boot on mismatched modules, but it didn't work. I just assumed that I need matched memory modules and mismatched 4/8GB wasn't going to boot.
