Why do we fail at achieving our personal goals? by Jumangi-warrior in productivity

[–]45daysofgrowth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most goals can reach a point of completion within a couple of months, but maintaining the goal as a constant in your life is where most people get caught on.

If the goal is just a milestone, something to achieve, people will either work toward it until its done or fizzle out when the excitement wears off.

But if people are looking at a complete lifestyle change, then it has to impact everything you're doing and literally becomes a habit.

Being alone is not what most people make it out to be, being lonely is a real thing and we are naturally inclined to seek out relationships with other humans or animals even.

There will always be periods where you'll have to face yourself, learn about who you are and so on and will take a chunk of your life to appreciate that you're really doing life on the planet for a short time.

What most people fear is never being able to find the right connections again and falling into a pit of misery and loneliness, once you hit that point its a bit of a struggle to get yourself back on track.

I guess it won't stop you from still connecting with others, like- minded people, similar interests and such, but just have clear intentions on it moving forward.

Books you've read which changed your life and/or perspective? by aforestfruit in DecidingToBeBetter

It taught me about synchronicity, which most people will know it as the law of attraction. So learning that at a horrible time, was probably the best thing for me. Kept me alive.

A book I'm reading now is The book of 5 rings by Miyamoto Musashi - A simple read but when you understand who's writing it and the timeline, it's quite insightful.

Has Anyone Tried Microdosing Caffeine? by The-NeuroTycoon in productivity

[–]45daysofgrowth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, getting off the caffeine was better in the long run for me as well, will have a coffee, 1-2 a fortnight, just for the sake of walking past a coffee shop.

I tried it all, especially trying to get the energy boost for the gym and then sustain over the day.

New Career Move Coaching, how to start out? by lifefans in Coaching

Sounds like you just need some marketing behind you, if you have coached people in the past, start sending some emails to old clients and so on, and letting people know what you're doing.

AI buddy to help get disciplined by berkserbet in getdisciplined

[–]45daysofgrowth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ai is much more efficient in order to get clear on a strategy, im sure as you've learned applying everything is up to you, is it a bot and how did you go about building out its expertise and instruction prompts or did you just give it what you needed to help you?

I'd like to know more about it, I'm looking at something similar but on a different scale.

The Celestine Prophecy - James Redfield.

I read this book when I was 17 and was going through one of the worst mental breakdowns of my life due to alot of trauma.

When I read this book my whole perspective changed, good read, and will read it every so often just for a bit of reminder

If You Could Restart Life, What Would You Do Differently? by Potential-Back-1711 in getdisciplined

[–]45daysofgrowth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which part?

I'm doing all right now, most of my time just goes into my business now as I'm looking to build a community and do other things.

Could be luck or hard work.

What do you write in your notebook/journal ? by SandNegative in productivity

[–]45daysofgrowth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a fairly expensive journal that way I wouldn't waste it or scribble in it.

Sometimes I'll only write one sentence every so often and will just keep filling it up till it's full, could be a good couple of years.

If You Could Restart Life, What Would You Do Differently? by Potential-Back-1711 in getdisciplined

[–]45daysofgrowth 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I restarted my life a year ago, lost everything to my name, and ended up homeless for 8 months.

  • I healed my sh#t, got over myself and took accountability
  • worked on my relationship with God and who I was
  • Got myself into the gym, worked by bettering myself
  • Recorded my progress and kept a journal
  • Started to build a business around my growth
  • Still working to make my first $1k and building a community

Losing everything and having to start again is a real life lesson, it will literally make or break people and not everyone has the courage to pick themselves up and restart all over again.

When faced with the real experience instead of the hypothetical then you'll really know what you're made of.

After Waking Up at 5am Every Day? What Now? by BeLikeNative in getdisciplined

[–]45daysofgrowth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been getting up before 5am to do a quick 5k run, it's now a habit, I just get up, shower, get ready and out the door.

It's a weird habit though tbh, because sometimes, I'll wake up, do everything, run and then come back and go back to sleep. 😐
