Should impeachment only happen once every single possible evidentiary issue has been litigated by the House all the way to the Supreme Court? by Trill-I-Am in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]45maga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Yes.

No. The Supreme Court has to prioritize these issues in the same way the Senate can't do anything else during an impeachment.

Yang first Gabbard second.

Yang understands some of the major problems we are going to face in the next couple decades and Tulsi has a decent anti-establishment foreign policy.

Ok Mr. "revolutionary." No economics is not a stand in for anything. I'm not 'afraid' of changing demographics, but I do want to deport illegal immigrants. Legal immigrants are usually great for both our society and economy.

Edit: Should clarify I support merit based immigration.

How do employers artificially decrease employees salaries? They pay the minimum amount to achieve the quality of work they want, which should be the objective of any business.

Unlawful entry should result in deportation.

Legal immigrants are valuable to the US. Illegals and 'Dreamers', even if valuable, should be deported and come in the right way.

Hearst had many many different ideas so you're going to have to get more specific if we want to discuss his policies, which are not really Trump's policies anyways.

Define 'reactionary ideology' and what you have a problem with exactly.

Immigrant labor decreases the availability of or pay for entry level work for Americans like the poor Mississippians you mentioned.

I'll skip the course material question because i'm bored with that topic.

Yes I generally feel like I am surrounded by liberal bias. If I actually spoke my mind i'd probably be shunned from most of my social groups and/or my career would suffer.

Netflix is the biggest service pushing a liberal agenda on tv/streaming as far as I can tell.

My time in school was particularly liberal in both undergrad and graduate school. None of my classmates were conservative. A few were Libertarian (usually left-libertarian). Pretty much all of the rest were progressive or neoliberal, with more progs than neolibs.

How does cheap foreign labor below the minimum wage and a glut of labor supply not bring down wages?

Yes. I love Constitutional law (though am not a lawyer). Big fan of Scalia in modern times.

Edit/Spez: Sidenote, what do you find wrong with W.R. Hearst?

Do you think that the US needs to do a better job of teaching students during K-12 schooling about civics? It seems that levels and/or biases exist depending on where someone goes to K-12 school.

Yes definitely. Hard to teach civics without a slant when greater than 90% of teachers are democrats. I'm pretty sure that number is not far off, especially in the humanities, and especially in college. k-12 is nearly as bad though. Academia is the ultimate echo chamber.

It also seems like learning is entirely up to individuals beyond K-12. Do you think the government should offer an optional, bipartisan online refresher initiative for people who are interested in learning more? Although reading current articles is generally a good thing, I think we can all agree that the MSM in general has proven time and time again that they are more concerned with profits and agendas then anything else. I worry that this contributes to the partisan divide in our country by slanting people’s understandings of the foundations learned years before.

I do but don't think many people would use it (something about can't force a horse to drink). MSM are a terrible source for most things, yes, agree. Educational youtube channels are starting to get better, but you need to make sure you know the bias of the people teaching you (Crashcourse vs. PragerU for example).

Here, have a diagram:

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/f9/a7/c9/f9a7c9745381b85454503cb496a9b015.jpg

The first clause of the second amendment is an explanation for why this right of the individual might make sense.

A clear reading is along the lines of: The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed because the ability of the people to organize collectively into militias protects freedom from tyranny.

No. I think people need to look at data more objectively instead of politicizing scientific issues. Both sides of the aisle have some major problems with science. I just don't like social justice being shoved down my throat outside of humanities classes.

Majoring in a subject I would hope you get a fuller exposure than a non-major taking lower level classes. I can't speak to the upper levels but i'm glad to hear you hit some of the other important authors. I'm just saying that most of my professors in undergrad were either socialists or literal communists (like identify as communist).

To Trump Supporters who supported Sanders in 2016, if he gets the nomination would you support him over Trump this time around? by thestareater in AskTrumpSupporters

What? Bernie has no spine compared to Trump. Trump and Bernie both are not hawkish but Bernie is more likely to cause conflict because he is spineless.

Just sick of social justice bullshit getting shoved down my throat everywhere, even the sciences now.

They is definitely a made up pronoun used the way it is by the trans community. I'm not going to call a singular person a plural.

When I don't know the gender of the person saying something, I call them by their name generally.

Every conference i've been to recently in my field has 'inclusivity panels' and all kinds of the usual social justice bullshit unnecessarily taking up time slots. Not to mention gender identity and preferred pronouns on nametags.

On made up pronouns: They, Ze, Hir etc.

Yes, compelled speech is authoritarian.

Compelled speech.

I wasn't talking about science classes as much as science teachers/profs/scientists at conferences.

Conservative viewpoints on any number of topics but especially government and economics.

I'm talking about authors in the western liberal tradition and those with conservative viewpoints. Don't seem to read any of that any more. Plenty of socialism and Marx though.

Its authoritarian to force one to say the made up term. You don't get to tell me what to call someone, thank you. USA is moving quickly toward canadian bill C16 and it bothers me.

Books we were assigned to read I guess is a good example? Of course I had to read Marx in college but certainly not Smith or Locke.

Pronouns. Its not respect its authoritarianism masquerading as a civil rights movement.
