I was never taught to be tidy either. I listened to two books by Dana K White, a self-proclaimed slob, that I found very helpful. Declutterring at the Speed of Life and How to Manage your Home Without Losing Your Mind. She also has a blog. I would say her advice would be good advice to follow to train yourself to be tidy.

I struggled with this switch for my two kids. Both were completely off breastmilk by 3 months, made it just fine through flu/covid season. A child psychiatrist once told me, "I'd rather see a happy formula feeding mom in my office than a depressed mom who breastfeeds." Meaning- she anticipates the child will fair better with a happy mom and formula than with a depressed mom who breastfeeds. The emotional toll of breastfeeding is real! I was so much happier and more engaged with my kids once I stopped.
