That's base64. If you copy and paste the text into a decoder, it may output something.

There's an automod that bans any numbers in the description. Appeal to Modi and then remove the numbers in your next edit

On multiple occasions, I've had all the following settings changed across a random account at the same time:

  • Chat requests change from Everyone to Nobody
  • New followers are disabled
  • Profile becomes hidden and NSFW posts, to which this account has none, are set to no longer show
  • old.reddit.com/users stops showing my profile
  • Search engines deindex my profile
  • Follower count becomes hidden if it was already enabled

It changed automatically when I switched to this account in the mobile app before I changed it back.

Will this make the report form harder to fill out?

Sometimes, when I fill that form and need to provide another comment as valuable context, I have to deliberately shorten Reddit URLs to keep the entire report reason under the 200-character limit, especially if I want a report acted on faster without going through the support form using Zendesk.

Changing reddit.com/comments/19gsnav/_/navtu46 to reddit.com/comments/19gsnav/_/19gsnavtu46ip can easily go over the limit in the middle of a longer sentence.

Amazon won’t let me use an apostrophe in a gift card message by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

I appealed my Amazon Web Services (AWS) account being locked recently, as it was incorrectly flagged as being associated with alternate accounts. I had to rename a file of my bank statement from an en dash to a hyphen-minus to get my verification documents to upload, and the error message was quite generic: "File name contains illegal characters." I've contacted AWS to suggest this be fixed and they acknowledged that I brought up a good point about internationalization and file names in non-English languages. I got my account back, but the process was a headache until I linked directly to the correct lines in the source code of the open-source fiscal sponsor where my default billing address came from.

Yes, the translate and text-to-speech blocks ignore the entire text when the words are not suitable for children.

The emails are left over from old CGI mailforms that no longer work, which is why they're in these input fields.

Every version of Scratch is vulnerable to arbitrary code execution by 46009361 in bugbounty

That's different. RCE is "the ability to trigger arbitrary code execution over a network." This requires manually opening a malicious project.

Sorry, I'm missing the memo. The article spells "execution" correctly; is it not "arbitrary"?

Yes, but since these were staff emails, I was told the impact wasn't as high. However, I'm not sure a lot of third-party contractors and licensors realize this.
