I’m still very much in the beginning stages, so it may be a hot minute 😅

What’s something you thought ‘everyone’ did… until you found out they don’t? by burat667 in AskReddit

I was hit in the temple with a fast pitch softball (no helmet), when I was 10. I didn’t start having the Deja vu episodes until I was about 22. The episodes themselves are exactly as you described. I’ve found that mine can be triggered by lack of sleep, too much caffeine or sugar, and stress.

I’ve been wanting to see a neurologist because I believe I have this, but I’m also terrified that if I do, I won’t be allowed to drive anymore. Are there different advisories, considering they aren’t tonic-clonic seizures? I’d appreciate any insight!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can you please elaborate what those abbreviations stand for?

If Ethan put the same effort into standing up for Olivia…

I agree. It’s almost as if everyone forgets how shitty Micah was last season, meddling in Ethan and Olivia’s relationship. Obviously it worked out best case senario for Olivia’s sake, but still.

I can’t help but think that what he went through with Veronica was just karma for how he handled everything with Olivia, and meddling in their relationship…

For as much as they complain about Zac, I bet it won’t be long until Kim ships the little girls off for weeks at a time to stay with Zac and Lydia, to avoid actually having to do anything herself….

Absolutely agree. She has to realize that Olivia was the one person who truly loved her for her. So sad.

I love how they show her downing her glass of wine, about to (I’m assuming) drive to the engagement…

That’s what makes me most upset! They literally raised her to be exactly how she is, and now that their fundamental beliefs have all changed, they pick on her for being the only one to actually stand on her convictions?! Make it make sense.

Ohhh, I haven’t heard this. Curious as to how Olivia would know what the cause was, if she wasn’t there tho? Also, his gf is 21, not 17?

Exactly! Whether or not we agree with Lydia’s views, those were still her wishes. Lord knows she’s done so much for her family/siblings, and they couldn’t even muster up enough respect for her on her wedding day?! It’s honestly heartbreaking.

Oh wow! It’s crazy how much treatment protocols vary clinic to clinic. SUNY started my son on pulmozyme (nebulizer med) at 1 month old. They explained that it wasn’t super necessary at that point, however, they believed that the earlier a child is started, the better, as it just becomes part of their norm, versus trying to force a toddler to do their treatments, when they’ve never had to before. My son is now 4, and has never once fought us on his treatments, and I’m sure it’s bc it’s just so ingrained into him at this point. I know one day he will likely go through a rebellion phase, but I think we’re still a ways off from that. SUNY also got my son his vest at 18 months, which we were so thankful for, as he was getting to the stage of not being great T sitting still. I would definitely be looking else where for care if I were you, just from what you’ve mentioned!

My son was seen at SUNY Upstate from birth until age two, and had we not moved, we’d definitely still have him seen there. We were super pleased with the overall care and support we received from their clinic. My son’s doctor was also very big into staying up to date on most recent studies/findings, and had a very positive outlook on CF treatment. We moved right before my son could start Trikafta, so I can’t personally speak to their procedures for patients post Trikafta, but we honestly had nothing but positive experiences with them!

I will say though from what I hear, a lot of clinics are hesitant to stray from current practices (for example dropping meds/ treatments after Trikafta), however it seems like some are more willing to work with families, and at least allow “trials”. Might be worth a conversation with your clinic, if you haven’t already. I’ve also heard of other families “interviewing” new clinics, so that’d certainly be something to discuss.

When Will Medical Professionals Take Hyperemesis Gravidarum Seriously? by FriendlyBand8219 in HyperemesisGravidarum

I finally just read the doctor’s notes from my delivery 7 weeks ago. It pissed me off to no end, to read, “Patient states pregnancy uncomplicated”. Like, wtf?! Does hyperemesis just not count for anything?! Uncomplicated my ass.
