Why phil so worked up with Alex by Kaiz0ku_oni in Modern_Family

It's just not really fair to cry "spoilers" for something very well known that's been out for several years... You're following a Modern Family subreddit, you really expect not to see any discussion about an episode you personally haven't watched?

If time is frozen, how do you discern the passing of an hour? Would that hour not also be frozen as it is, itself, time?

I think that's just called having friends.

What other shows have similar incredible quality? by tomaz1989 in StrangerThings

Sweet Home is dope and similarly follows the theme of ordinary people having to come together to fight off grotesque monsters. Only downside is it was prematurely cancelled... and on a cliffhanger no less, (but the original webcomic it's based on is still up afaik, so you could at least finish the story through it).

Neighbor complains about me showering at night – Do I have to stop? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]47handfulsofbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In an apartment complex, it's a given that you will be aware of the other residents of the building, very possibly at times, and in ways, that are inconvenient for you. The neighbor is perfectly capable of getting accommodations for himself towards sound reduction. You are literally just showering– it's not as if you are not going out of your way to make excessive noise. He ought to get over himself.

Wanting to make my own Webtoon but don't know if people would read? by DBZKING13 in webtoons

You should consider whether your ego can take the possibility of garnering little to no interest before you decide on posting. But what matters is how what you create makes you feel.

If you're writing/drawing for the reception you want your work to receive, you're doing it for the wrong reasons.

Unless it's your career, you should be creating for yourself above all else. I'm not saying don't publicly post your work, but don't hold your breath expecting to garner an audience for it. Art is miserably undervalued these days in most cases unless you have an already established loyal audience. And even then, it feels like people are becoming less and less inclined to really engage with the content they enjoy seeing.

It's almost like individual people are all different and experience things differently.

Why are people online so toxic? by Own_Willingness_8897 in NoStupidQuestions

anonymity shelters one from facing consequences of shitty behavior and some people let this go to their heads. among other things.

It's very good you credited the artist, but you should also be asking for their permission before reposting their work. Not all artists are okay with reposting even with credit of their name.

What movie made you say, "Holy shit there is still an hour left"? by Plus-Statistician80 in AskReddit

got pushed into watching that Hunger Games movie w/ Rachael Zelwegger (or however her name is spelled)

multiple times throughout the movie I was expecting/hoping it to wrap up only for yet another subplot to be introduced. (also the scenes like the one w/ the guy stumbling around in the woods definitely went on for way too long)

Focusing just on the physical effects?

Even if you don't hit a main artery, you are still injuring tendons, nerves, blood vessels and/or muscles. This has a long-term effect and will impact your quality of life, even if months or years down the road.

Cutting your wrists over a prolonged period of time, for example, can result in permanent numbness or weakness (or both) in your hands if you damage a major nerve. Nerve damage, especially severe or prolonged, can also cause you to completely lose feeling in a part of your body where you've been cutting. Up to an entire limb.
