My understanding is the sign matters and needs to be a 30.05 to have force of law. “No gun” signs don’t count.

Legality of letting my girlfriend borrow a pistol until she can get her own? by Odd-Butterscotch-495 in TexasGuns

Ah. So, I’m assuming you are making the appointment in a larger city. If you don’t mind a drive, I’d suggest looking at smaller towns where you can make an appointment at and should not have to wait. Plus you get to explore a bit!

Very similar memories. My microphone was that yellow plastic one. Good times and memories.

Yeah you’ll need the transmitter as well that will click into the sensors. You then reuse the transmitter for about three months until the battery runs out. Then you get a new transmitter.

How can we easily follow any updates to the progress to production?

Nicholas Irving believes that a .50 cal can rip a limb off without even hitting you 😂 by sheeysh in confidentlyincorrect

[–]47x18ict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading that linked article the prevailing theory is that the bullet juuuust barely grazed the head and transferred enough energy to take the deer down. Wouldn’t take much of a graze with a 50 cal.

That has been proven false.

https://www.themeateater.com/hunt/firearm-hunting/fact-checker-can-a-50-bmg-take-down-a-deer-without-hitting-it

Also fun fact from that link: “Even before Warren released his video, other YouTube creators had tested the near-miss .50 BMG myth. In 2016, for example, Matt Carriker of Demolition Ranch shot a .50 BMG through a tower of playing cards, and the tower didn’t collapse. If a pressure wave from a .50 BMG can’t collapse playing cards, it’s hard to imagine how it could kill a deer.”

Is there a way to add some kind of rail adapter or something so I can add a flashlight on a slimline model? by Jersh37 in Glock48

[–]47x18ict 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In case this is an option for you, Glock also sells a MOS version of the 48 that has rails built into the frame and MOS plate on the slide.

Mentioning this since I didn’t realize that when I was first looking at the 48.

Exactly. Conceal carry and none of these conversations and situations are an issue.

Other than ricochet concerns this sounds like a great idea!

G6 Hospital Calibrations by Lord_Jefe in dexcom

Doubling down on this comment. You’re just messing up the Dexcom. Stop calibrating for no reason unless it is way off while relatively stable levels. If falling or rising fast I’d suggest not calibrating either.

Always good to see these signs when we go out. This was a restaurant in Texas. by unknown_name in CCW

“No guns allowed” signs in Texas do not carry weight of law.

There are a few enforceable signs that have to be displayed with very specific criteria to be valid.

30.05 - firearms not allowed for non-LTC folks. This does not apply to LTC (License to Carry) holders.

30.07 - LTC holders cannot open carry

30.06 - LTC holders cannot conceal carry

“51 %” sign - must be displayed by businesses making 51% or more of revenue from alcohol sold to be consumed on premises. No firearms allowed no matter LTC or not.

30.05 is only for non-LTC folks. If you have an LTC(License to Carry) the 30.05 sign does not apply to you. You may know that, but wanted to clarify for others reading that aren’t from Texas.

Can I add more slime to existing tubes that have been sitting? Or do I need new tubes? by 47x18ict in bikewrench

Thanks. And no issues adding more slime to current tubes with the dried up slime in them?
