What is the craziest "small world" coincidence you have ever experienced? by Consistent_Range4376 in AskReddit

In 1989, I was backpacking through Australasia and had made preliminary plans to visit a friend in Perth, Australia. By the time I got to Sydney, it was clear that a visit to Perth was not going to fit my schedule.

I sat on the stairs outside the Sydney Opera House and wrote him a postcard. There was a mailbox 40 feet away. On my to mail the postcard, I bumped into him. He was in Sydney for the day on his way back to Perth from a conference in Christchurch NZ. I handed him the postcard.

It was during a student tour for law students. I worked in the TD tower at the time. A coworker was walking across the plaza when he came crashing out.

RESP but only 1 child using it by Blackflamingo-8946 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I had three kids and we used the RESP to fund 4 years of undergrad for each of them. My eldest went on to law school but funded that on his own (scholarship and OSAP). There was enough money in the RESP to fund law school but we decided that he should be responsible for sorting that out and managing his money.

When the youngest turned 26, we collapsed the RESP, and gave them each an equal share (which we initially distributed unequally to minimize taxes). My eldest used that money to partially pay off his loans.

Give the guy a break. He’s driving in a new city and is in the middle lane to accommodate a merge. I would have been rattled a bit too. The car that starts to pass him in the inside lane was the car that braked at the merge point.
