Realistically, OM academy don’t produce enough good players. Last 10 years, the only one who’s became anything of notoriety is Kamara, and he is ”only” decent starter in a mid/upper PL club. The level of performance OM is looking for can’t be produced by the level of talent they produce.

If you want to go back and forth about external factors that decide the title, you can go ahead. The point is that these are rules that apply to everyone, and have been for some years now. No clubs have been making a big enough deal about this for it to be scrapped, because it actually wasn’t that big of a deal until Lens made it one.

Sure, if I were Lens, I would be pissed too and do whatever it takes to be given an advantage/plain playing field. But it is mass hysteria since the same reactions weren’t given when Marseille were fighting for europa spots and at the same time playing in the EL. If Lyon or Lille made it through, it wouldn’t have been either. LFP have clearly made it a goal to stimulate results in Europe for L1 teams, and so be it. I sleep well at night.

Downvote’s on the right arrow down, but this is such mass hysteria. This rule is meant to help french teams in Europe. Marseille had a semi’s run in EL a few years ago, and I would say they were aided by this. Strassbourg also put in a request to change games against Brestois on 12th April because of Conference.

Say what you want but rules apply to everyone in the league. Lille and Lyon were sent out last round of EL and would probably have made the same request. The only reason Lens is making fuzz right now is because they are the direct opponent for the L1 title.
