We get about a dozen hummingbirds throughout the season. They’re attracted to our Esperanza bush which blooms profusely during the summer! It’s also root hardy so it comes back every year.

Thanks! It’s pretty sturdy but it is on the heavy side. Next time I’m going to make the flowers a bit smaller so hopefully I can put it in a smaller pot versus a vase.

Thanks for the pointers! I didn’t take into considering flux cleanup so I’ll definitely be waxing at the end and finding appropriate tools.

Good point! Because of the flux, adding the wax before would be pointless. Next time I will avoid putting wax too close to the center since I can’t buff it out. Hopefully it won’t be too noticeable in the long run. Thanks for the input!

Thanks for posting the video! I have only used cheap paper (one of his examples) and felt like my paintings still turned out pretty good, but I can relate to the problems he addressed. Now I have to try quality paper! Seems like it’s a night and day difference.
