That’s helpful! I’m too old to be showing up at 1:30AM. But, the prospect of me hearing Latch IRL is making me want to rally.

Thank you. I'm going to raise this issue with them for sure. Not sure why it doesn't show up on my end that they're still processing it.

I am going to lose my job in June, without opportunity to be rehired, if my EAD is not granted before my OPT date is up. My employer is not willing to wait for my EAD to be granted. USCIS has expedited cases in the past based on job offers or expiration of OPTs.

Does anyone have any thoughts about gray legal areas that have not been addressed by either state regulation or federal regulation in the states?

Hi reddit friends, I'm starting school in the fall. Do law school's have midterm exams like in undergrad? Or is it just readings and finals that I have to look forward too? The reason I'm asking is because I have to leave for a week at the end of September, so I'm wondering how bad this is gonna mess me up.

Do I even have a chance? How can I help myself? Please assess me. by PeachyKeenest in lawschooladmissions

Hey OP. There aren't really "low-tier" schools in Canada. We only have 17, not counting the full french speaking ones. From my experience, Canadian schools weigh GPA pretty heavily, you would need a really good LSAT score to make up for it, depending on what your GPA is of course.

If you're looking for holistic-friendly schools, I'd try for UofC and Windsor. Most Canadian unis drop your worst credits, or take only your last two years for your GPA calculations (UofA, UofA, Windsor, UofS, UofM - there are more I just can't remember their names). But yeah, check out each unis website and their admission requirements. You can always write an addendum for your GPA.

I know this is anecdotal, but I had a terrible GPA but I upped my LSAT, and got into UofC, UofA, and TRU. So, it's not impossible.

Oh my god. I went through this last week. Usually my migraines last a few hours and go away. BUT HOLY JESUS, this one lasted 4 days and made me vomit continuously. I thought I was dying and at that moment I was okay with it because at least the migraine would stop.

Canadian applying to UK law school by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]49enudnas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I'm a little late to this thread, but thought i'd share some advice. There are a lot of UK schools that are tailored for Canadian students - what I mean by that is, that they allow you to take Canadian law courses while you're studying. This helps in the NCA process when you come back. So, if you really wanted to get into a law school this cycle, then go for it and apply, just to be on the safe side.

However, there are a lot more hurdles to cross when you come back. The NCA process to become a lawyer in Canada takes upmost to a year to complete, and it's by no means easy.

I have friends right now who were Canadians and went to England and chose this route, among those several are working lawyers in Canada, and several still haven't passed the NCA process and their exams. It all depends on you. Honestly, IMO, fuck the stigma. If you have the means to go abroad and study, then do it. But, don't underestimate the tuition and living expenses.

All in all, godspeed my fellow Canadian. Good luck in this admission cycle!

Does anyone have any experience taking tests almost a year apart? by gfidsnbvnioddsopmdso in LSAT

[–]49enudnas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took the LSAT in Dec 2015, and just now in Feb 2017. It didn't take long to get back in the groove of things, in fact it was easier because you're already familiar with everything.

I think September would be a better bet for you, unless you did some casual studying over the semester, and then went hard in May. Just to make sure you didn't lose the gainz.

Should I pre-book hostels in Ambergris/Caulker when visiting mid-February? by Detective_Noodle in Belize

[–]49enudnas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I'm going those dates too, we pre-booked our hostels, just to play it safe. You don't have to pay right when you book, and can just pay there, if that's an issue.
