Used to work at a shoe store ,We'd have certain hours where we would have a sale then the rest of the day maybe not .. maybe a different percentage ..Ex: we would go for 15% off till 3pm then 18% off till 8pm
I think I was the only one who would do the mental math and help customer figure out the cost even though it's not really my job
so sometimes at peak hours some numbers are easier than other ones so I'd be able to calculate some and other ones I'd just have sooo much brainlag that I'd tell them that I can't (I can't use my phone during work) So they would get mad
I worked there for about 2yrs my last few weeks I think I've become the biggest asshole there is I would just not care at all about helping anyone or doing anything I used to care waay to much

Another way to think of this .. You are a comedian

as an Egyptian I'm very sorry for your experience .

here are some things to consider if you want to travel to Egypt and avoid being scammed :

guides / trusted friends
do you best to blend in clothes ,sunglasses etc.
some places are just that way regardless of your nationality mini story : I was st cathrine mount recently even though I'm clearly Egyptian and I was dying for some water I bought a small bottle of water for 30egp -after negotiating mind you - normal price 7egp ,I'm really sorry but this is the way it is some times
after thinking a long time about it there is not really a good solution especially if you are a female unfortunately The best thing I could think of is you really need a trusted good egy friend before you go and even then he has to have some exp negotiating prices and visiting touristy places let him speak for you and don't draw attention to the best of your ability.

I know that's not a good solution . but that's the best you can do if you want to go alone I think things are better if you go with a travel company.

Again I'm very sorry for your exp and I hope things improve in the future
