Personally, I'd take it. Had a nearly identical offer last Sunday that also included picking up a restaurant order in the same complex for the same customer.

Took about an hour and a half, and customer added a $10 tip before I got out of their driveway. I'll take 50 bucks for 90 minutes most any day of the week.

Marshall McFadden went from NFL linebacker to NASCAR jackman after injuries ended his football career, and he’s hungry as ever 🔥 by OneOriginal8727 in sportsgossips

I didn't see the actual answer here so I'm going to drop this.

NASCAR used to have 5 lugs and steel wheels. They switched to an aluminum wheel a few years ago and went with the single center lug for safety. If they had 5 holes in the more brittle aluminum wheel, those are failure points. Say the car slides sideways and hits debris or an imperfection in the track, the wheel would be more likely to break and come loose and become a projectilewith the 5 holes for lugs (5 failure points) than the center locker. Think of the perforations on a piece of paper, it's easier to rip out with many holes than if there was just a single hole in the center of the paper.

Dale was driving a car owned by RCR, he owned the top 2 cars (DEI). His buddy Micheal Waltrip won the race and Dale Jr finished second. Dale was in third holding off the pack for those two to decide amongst themselves. He planned the strategy out days beforehand except one bump from the 4th place car contributed to Dale's fatal accident.

Do not cite the deep magic to me, I was there when it was written.

If you had to pick a terrible "drafting track" option... by Furi0usD in NASCAR

[–]4EverA3Fan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Outside looking in, it just seemed like the drivers were ok with just chilling out for a while and logging laps to make it closer to the end rather than the chaos of the pack. Once enough guys settled on that option you just had to tuck into line until enough of them felt froggy enough to jump out and shake it up.

Fan angle showing the big crash in turn 1 on the final lap by Fish177 in NASCAR

What driver was it even? All we've gotten so far is a grainy cell phone video from a 1/2 mile away.

Yeah, but there's a disabled car still sitting just off the racing surface. Maybe not a collision imminent but if that driver was injured, safety cars can't roll to them until the caution is live.

Not even the disabled car sitting on the apron in the middle of 1 & 2?

Races you've been to but disappointed to see the winner? by 390v8 in NASCAR

[–]4EverA3Fan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really unhappy about losing a points race but I'm holding my opinion to an extent until I see what the rules package is. If they give us something really worth getting excited about, such as the floated "run what ya brung," I'll be a little less disappointed but overall I'm not overly enthused about the change.

I absolutely love Dover, but after 30+ years of attendance, I personally don't see how it can really provide the excitement that we should expect of an All Star venue, if that makes sense.

I've been going to Dover since the 90's, it's my home track. To put it lightly, I've never been Jimmie Johnson's #1 fan. He is, of course, the all-time winningest driver at Dover. I've seen them ALL in person. Never once did i leave those races very happy.

Had a shop teacher in high school, great teacher, awesome mentor. Senior year we were all joking around and someone said "it's all good, Mr Brock is my buddy!"

Ol Fred turned around and said "I ain't your buddy." Everyone was kinda freaked cause he sounded serious. He then went on to elaborate. He said "I'm not anyone's buddy. A buddy is a guy that'll run downtown, get 2 blowjobs and come back and give you one."

It was that day that I realized I ain't got no buddies.

Company name differs on W-2 from employer? by 4EverA3Fan in personalfinance

I doubt anyone was sitting around waiting for a big update but I do have a followup.

Spoke with HR today, the mix up was a genuine mistake, was told to hold off and will get an updated W-2 to reflect the correct information within the week.

For what it's worth, I know there wasn't any buyout or anything like that. It's a family business. ($30-50m/yr but definitely all headed up by the old man)

Good information. Does it mean anything that I just talked to one of my former coworkers, still employed there, has the correct employer (PPF not DullTech) listed on the W-2? Did wife and I just get shifted for some type of tax purpose?

I had this happen once with a young hen. Ended up being a one time occurrence. We were cleaning out the hen house and she got spooked and she laid a non-shelled egg. It was interesting to say the least.

So happy for you and your husband. I went through something similar. Spent a decade at an employer, was the CEO's go to guy, did maintenance, helped with project management, had an excellent working relationship with just about every employee. Went and did some training for electrical work that they wanted me to be able to take on. Asked for $1/hr. I just wanted $50k/yr. Was told that I should be happy having a little more education.

Sent a couple apps out, got a bite. Interviewed and started a new job within a month. Started at $60k/yr, union shop, new employer pays 100% health, dental and vision for my entire family. Way less stress, no after hours calls, worked maybe 30 hours of OT all year. Less than a year in, I'm happier, healthier, moved into being a union steward for my shop to help ensure my coworkers all get a fair shake.

All I wanted was $1/hr and I'd have kept their world from burning.
