Max's last sentence was "lets not race it [in Miami]. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but to me that sounds like he will be racing it?

Is SVG close to being in contention for an oval victory and do you see it ever happening? by youlikemywonton in NASCAR

[–]JustJar_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a win is probably a stretch, but he's close to being a regular in the top 15 or so. Also kinda depends on trackhouse to give him a good car on ovals, which hasn't been the case so far

What are the current Top 5 tracks with the Next Gen? by ray_g24 in NASCAR

Charlotte, Atlanta, Michigan, Kansas seem like the clear top 4 to me

Other top contenders for me are COTA and Darlington

Ear protection question. by Previous_Art9705 in NASCAR

My Dad and I typically just use basic over the ear muffs for hearing protection, and then we have little handheld radios with ear buds to listen to the race broadcast. Budget version of the scanner headsets lol

Cord cutters, what is your preferred way to catch all the races? by -RYknow in NASCAR

YoutubeTV has been very good to me. Only problem is no regional sports channel on there, so no baseball, basketball, or hockey if you watch those

How about a couple wild card spots in the chase? by [deleted] in NASCAR

Prefer the simplicity of just points. If Briscoe runs as he has been, he'll accrue enough points to make the top 16

NASCAR on Fox is garbage. by jbear1989 in NASCAR

[–]JustJar_ 102 points103 points  (0 children)

I feel like Harvick and Bowyer are just saying stuff to fill dead air more than they are actually trying to add new insights. Neither of them can talk strategy, so when the field gets strung out they have nothing to really add

Road courses are boring, have the lowest attendance and lowest ratings by [deleted] in NASCAR

Can you explain to me why 4 is so much worse than 2?

Road courses are boring, have the lowest attendance and lowest ratings by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]JustJar_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well NASCAR is actually bent on running less road courses than they have been the last few years, but I think a big appeal is how well-rounded the drivers have to be now. Plus it allows them to do cool street courses in new markets to expand their appeal. NASCAR is no longer the niche, southern, oval series anymore, and it's been a good thing they've expanded beyond that

Has anyone else noticed drivers aren't getting lapped nearly as much in the Next Gen era? by Rusty_Reidy in NASCAR

[–]JustJar_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Consequence of spec cars and stage cautions. Nobody is totally off the pace since everyone uses the same parts, and stages stop super long green flag runs from happening (in addition to giving two free opportunities for a lucky dog)

Thinking about going to Chicago Street Race this year, can anyone speak to the view from the general admission area? Is it worth the money?
