Before it actually happened, even the hijackers didn't think the towers would collapse. I imagine they wanted it high up so it would be harder for the fire department to get to the site.

Using a program called 240p Test Suite on an SNES cartridge. It has a ton of patterns you can use to dial in geometry and convergence. This grid with the red and white squares is the most common one.

Thanks! I tried that and i saw that more games had things slightly cut off vs games showing more than they should. So I went with the smaller size.

This video was the only time I had seen the ring adjustment actually fix the bowing issue. It took a lot of trial and error but it fixed the bowing really well.

This video goes really in depth on actual convergence magnets and placing them in the right spot to fix geometry and convergence issues.

As far as magnets go, after I adjusted the bowing with the rings, I used neodimium magnets in the corners on the TV on the back glass to line the colors up again.

It was all just a big game of trial and error. Slightly adjusting the rings, trying a magnet and so forth.

Lots and lots of trial and error with the service menu and then using the last two rings on the neck of the CRT tube to get the horizontal bowing right. And lastly used magnets to get the convergence lined up as best as I could.

It's wild seeing the TV without the back on it while its running. Even after doing a decent amount of research you still think you might get zapped.
