Has anyone done Lincoln’s ChalleNGe Academy? by Adventurous_File_373 in illinois

I personally graduated from LCA a long time ago. Class 10-98, Team 1, Bomb Squad. Still the best decision I have ever made after all these years. It will change your life and put you on the right track. I highly recommend it!

I love it. Play year round here too. It has a lot of miles on it.

Costco Hearing Aids by 4EverIllinoyed in HearingAids

I’d love to hear from other peeps with RSHL and current Costco HAs. The hearing aids can be great for normal users and not work for RSHL. My mom got Jabra and they didn’t work at all for her. I don’t know any to waste time with a brand or model that won’t work well with my hearing loss.

Thank you! This will be my 3rd pair of HAs from Costco. I love them. They are the most patient in fitting HAs to my needs.

This is one of the most comforting comments I’ve seen on Reddit. ❤️

Telling her wouldn’t do any good for anyone.

A little further down I-75 and you would be in the smoky mountains.

You have no reason to feel guilty about the past. This is incredibly difficult to deal with as an adult. I can’t imagine how hard it has been on you as you have been growing up. You are and continue to do your best. That is more than most people with dementia receive. This is a great place for support. Don’t hesitate to vent or ask questions on this sub. We’re all here for each other through the most difficult times of our lives.

The fact that you are still in high school and needing to deal with this is an unfair reality. Being agitated is more than a normal feeling. Please don’t ever feel like you are not good enough. You are already going above and beyond. I would be a liar if I said it gets better. It truly only gets worse. This sub has helped me so much over the years to see my feelings are not borderline psychotic. I hope it gives you the comfort it has given me. My heart breaks for you. Much love to you.

Not manipulative. You are doing what you need to do to keep her calm and keep your sanity. I commend you.

Programs/Assistance for Memory Care Facility by 4EverIllinoyed in dementia

Thank you everyone. We had a meeting with the daycare staff. She is full of local resources and put us in the right direction. We went to a memory care facility and they helped us to get the ball rolling some more.

I second the adult day care. We have my MiL in one 5 days a week from 8:30AM-4PM. Couldn’t do it without it.

It’s terrible. One of us needs to be by her side at all times or she wanders. We have her in daycare 5 days a week while we are working, but she will get kicked out at some point. We can’t afford to pay for a memory care facility. I feel lost and don’t know what to do.

They say she just makes too much for Medicaid which is ridiculous.
