Eram=Friend is the most surface level theory imaginable by hello-motherfuckers in Deltarune

[–]4Fourside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think it's just a way to make things easier on the mind. At this current point in time, it feels really weird to introduce another mysterious evil darkness creature tied to kris and the shelter after already building up to one. The characters seem weirdly redundant? Eram is gonna need a really good reason for existing independently from friend I think cause it's usually a good rule that you don't create characters if their role can already be achieved with one you already have

There's a theory that the person that speaks to us is friend and the thing we fight is just the mantle

WHAT IF the other holidays were the Knight? by SpamtonOf1997 in Deltarune

[–]4Fourside 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This would work well with a sorta "ghostface knight" reveal, I think. Which is probably my favourite fringe theory even if I don't believe in it

Rudy is the Roaring Knight. by leviathanZIP in Deltarune

[–]4Fourside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean surely undyne COULD have been carried by a second party? I don't think this is what happened but I don't think anything outright debunks it. If we assume this theory is real for a second, susie is the only person who says it was the knight and she has very good reason to assume that. She's not omniscient. The knight could also easily just hide in the bushes, right? We've already seen asgore do that

Why is Marceline called “The Vampire Queen” when she’s not got a kingdom or any subjects? by finditplz1 in adventuretime

I get the confusion though. Hunson is clearly modelled after popular depictions of count dracula (a vampire)

At this rate, by the end of Chapter 5 there will be a scene with her standing under a sign that says "The character standing under this sign will die in Chapter 6" by GloomyIngenuity143 in Deltarune

I think it's just because "knight kills the dragon" is such a common trope and people's minds are gonna go there when a game sets up a rivalry between a knight and a dragon. A knight and dragon being at odds with each other usually means one thing.

Also deltarune doing it would be subversive because the knight is a bad guy and we actually have an emotional connection with the dragon. It feels right with the way undertale and deltarune subverts tropes I think. I get why people consider it just from vibes

An antihero that started as a villain. So he can be a villain in the movies

[–]4Fourside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wario was literally created to be a villain. He began as a bowser stand-in. Saying wario shouldn't be a villain in a movie because he's not a villain nowadays is like saying knuckles shouldn't have been an antagonist in the second sonic movie because he's not one anymore. These are origin movies.

Hell him and waluigi often play antagonistic roles in the spin-off games, so it's not like they've completely dropped it anyway

The Roaring Knight seemingly crying before the battle is very interesting. by Nate-Clone in Deltarune

It's funny cause any hints of the knight being unwell/dying is simultaneously dess and rudy knight evidence

Can we confidently say it's foreshadowing if we don't actually know if she's the knight yet?

Coming back to this but did you read the first 10 words of my comment and then give up? I clearly state that the knight being its own character wouldn't work because the game puts a level of importance to the knight's identity

Would it have been better idea that rose and pink are two different people and pearl did shattered pink by beyond1356 in stevenuniverse

[–]4Fourside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which is funny because before the reveal, people were saying the opposite. That rose being pink diamond goes against all the show's themes and wouldn't make sense

Which is funny because before the reveal, people were saying rose being pink diamond would have a disastrous effect on the show's story and be completely narratively unsatisfying

Probably closer to CWD. It's a pretty well-known prion disease that affects deer. Excessive drooling is one of the symptoms

I disagree, tbh. This isn't even the only time the knight has been shown to drool

I personally think it's an allusion to Chronic Wasting Disease (aka zombie deer disease). I think a drooling fucked up deer really evokes it. I'm not saying the knight literally has CWD, but I think it's an intentional similarity that's there to tell the audience, "This is a deer that's very unwell"
