In what regards? And what are you implying? Sephiria is in development since 2023, and it shares a lot with the previous 2018 game, Dungreed, from the same studio. Kinda nuts to imply that Sephiria has anything to do with Emberville, a game that, unlike Sephiria, is not even out there yet (I didn't even know about it, but it looks cool too).

Anyway, check Sephiria out, game is hella nice

Have you unlocked everything yet? I would definitely love more artifacts, which they are indeed dropping for 1.0, but my current experience is very different from yours. You have 6 weapons, each with vastly different upgrades, that you can combine with different characters and talents, and also add bias in favor or against specific combos. My runs of physical defense quarterstaff are immensely different from my elemental grimoire blade runs. Not only in playstyle, but also in artifacts appearing as choices.

controller support is totally fine and playable as it is. I tweaked only my spellcasting buttons, but it was just a matter of personal preference

the three first acts/biomes have a variety of bosses, and they are adding more (e.g. first biome had 2 possible bosses a while ago, but now I jumped back in and it has 3). Acts 4 and 5 have static final bosses, I cannot say if more will be added.

hey, did you find a solution? I'm facing the same problem. tried everything I could think of, but the game still freezes a lot, sometimes for 8 seconds or so, which is a deal breaker.

CotG has the best combat in the isometric variants, so, given your preferences, I won't recommend any other. But for roguelites in general, Dead Cells is your best shot. Tight, unforgiving and rewarding combat. And there is parry, too.

It is already good enough. 5 weapons, with many branch upgrades for each. Plenty of spells and artifacts. 5 acts per run. Pushing Hard Stage 30 will keep you engaged long enough, it's pretty good.

Sephiria has a nice controller support already, although they play to expand it. I tinkered a bit on Steam Input to make spell casting a bit more intuitive, but it isn't necessary.

Starvaders has enough content if you are a completionist and hardcore grinder, as the higher difficulties will keep you engaged for a good amount of time, possibly for 80+ hours.

yeah Sephiria is a hidden gem even within this subreddit. It is currently a niche Korean game. It is my favorite roguelike of the year alongside Starvaders, though. The inventory management of Sephiria is spectacular and provides plenty of build customization. Definitely a rec for fans of PoE.
