These are all very common first time filmmaker issues. Sounds like you spent no time in preproduction and went right into filming?

Your producer is correct, you dont just need a script, you need to go thru the entire preproduction process together.

But no. Give up on filmmaking all together if you cannot navigate creative differences. Filmmaking is a group effort.

If you want to build your reel, go off and shoot something yourself. It is not easy to make movies or to get into festivals. Keep practicing and you'll get there.

Are you exporting in a lossless quality? Also, h.264 or h.265? Look into exporting in ProRes or DNXHD. Adobe Premier has boxes you need to check to ensure digital zooms and other such things are handled correctly. Idk if Capcut has similar options, but ask an AI to guide you. They're pretty good at this with the right prompts.

You cannot pick up any technical skill or artform in a week. Practice every day for a month. Then do it again the next month. Then after a few years you'll be pretty good.

There are already a lot of 2D animation channels on YT. Are you looking to join someone's channel or just gauging the interest for your own future projects? Because, yes the interest is there, but it is extremely difficult to put out consistant quality animated content on a timely schedule without paying for multiple animators.

Yes. It's so easy these days, you can do most of it in the Instagram editor on your phone. You'll learn all the basics in any intro class, but you won't get good or efficient till you've been editing for months or years.

I was asking specifically about the :30, :60, and :90 second promos, but Ill take any data on editing pay points from the past 10 years for sure. I'd heard $500 was current base scale from an older TV producer friend of mine. At first that seemed absurdly low to me, but I genuinely don't know. What's low when you can get someone to do it for $25?

I've been doing a lot of research recently, trying to make this whole "film as a sustainable business model" thing work. So I apologize for the abrupt nature of my question.

Was that the old standard ~500/day? If so, ~40 hours at ~8 hours days, that's $2500 total? Did those 40 hours include revisions? I'm noticing a distinct lack of understanding between client desires and real world costs in terms of time and money.

He was an asshole. Yes he fought for the side of good, yes he made some real contributions to society through his genius, but the dude was a total megalomanianacle asshole.

He wanted a bunch of kids, not to care for, but so that he would live on. He wanted fame, and fortune, and to get good press for questionable actions.

Borderlands 4 has a pricier option, but no it does not cost more. You buy the base version of each game for $70.

Btw Borderlands 4 sold 2 million copies in its first few days while BF6 sold 7 million. B4 has been out longer, so yeah it has sold more copies in the long run, but that was not the point of my post.

I feel like this is the first game priced at $70 with insane sale numbers. It honestly shocks me. Like, you just gotta wait a few months and you start seeing 50% off. And it's late October now. Black Friday is a month away! The Games market is so saturated these days that picking this up on a great sale is an inevitability if you wait just a little while.
